„We have stayed all over this area in the last 30 years and this was the "wildest" experience ever! It was like nice accommodations inside a zoo with animals that were tame and fun to watch. A racoon came up to our backdoor and laid on the mat! Our girls loved seeing it so closely from behind the safety of the sliding glass door. „The night sky from the deck of the geodesic dome was absolutely spectacular, as were the views. The home was clean, thoughtfully appointed and was situated on an exceptional property. It was also a short drive from the Sierra Storytelling Festival, which made it even better. The only shortcoming is that there was only one full bed and the two others were a futon and a sofa bed. A twin bed in the loft would be a lovely addition. For 4 adults, it works fine.“

„We were attending a family wedding at Twenty Mile house in Cromberg. Location was perfect as it was a short drive away. Beautiful area with lots of places and activities to explore. Unfortunately we had a medical emergency that entailed a late night visit to the emergency room in Portola only about 15 -20 minutes away. The patient received excellent care and things with a happy ending for our visit.“

„My wife and I loved our stay here. The house was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Sitting on the front deck was very relaxing with the stream flowing right in front. We spent most of our time out exploring, there is so much to do in this area. The hike to the top of the lookout tower was amazing (best to drive up thru Bassets and then towards Packer Lake so that you don't have to drive up the rough unpaved road from Sierra City). The brewery in Blairsden is a great stop after a ...

TV was a little difficult to get up and running but we eventually managed. Only other (very minor) thing would be to flip the hinges on the refrigerator door so it opens on the other side.
