Das ganze Hotel ist abgewohnt. Anlage zwar schön, Zimmer aber schrecklich. Außen Hui, innen pfui. Überall an Wänden und Decken Schimmel. Es ist an der Ausstattung sicherlich seit mindestens 20 Jahren nichts mehr gemacht worden. Bettwäsche schmutzig. Zudem haben wir ein anderes Zimmer als gebucht erhalten. Personal ist eher unfreundlich und unbeholfen und das Frühstück ist eines der schlechtesten in Costa Rica. Das Hotel ist für diese Leistungen mehr als überteuert. Auf unserer Costa Rica Rundreise haben wir uns hier mit Abstand am unwohlsten gefühlt. Wir haben Hostels bereist, die mehr Komfort boten. Wir waren ausgesprochen froh als wir auschecken konnten. WLAN nur in der Lobby.

Expérience incroyable, le rafting est un moment unique

We spend fabulous 4 nights here. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was clean, spacious and luxurious (we stayed the Florentina Villa). You can easily stay a day just in your room and observe the wildlife. Totally worth it - besides the private pool and the very comfortable swing. The food in the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) was the best we had in Tortuguero and the best we had in hotel restaurants in Costa Rica. I would highly recommend a stay here :).

If you want to be right in the middle of nature and wildlife this is the place to go. Most of the resort is raised up into the treetops so you can be eye level with creatures you'd usually only see way above you from the ground. The included hikes and birdwatching were wonderful with very knowledgeable and passionate guides. We also arranged a day trip to Corcovado by boat through the lodge in advance, seems pricey at first but was well worth it. Over the course of a week we saw sloths (lodge & Corcovado), monkeys (everywhere), tapirs (Corcovado), ant eaters (lodge and Corcovado), coatis (lodge), frogs and lizards (lodge) and so many different birds (everywhere). We chose a forest bungalow room which is just screened in from the outside. I was a bit worried the lack of AC might make it too hot to sleep, but at the end of April the fans in the room were enough to keep us comfortable over night. No need for alarm clocks, the howler monkeys will get you up every day. Overall a fantastic nature focused lodge that combines the ability to relax with adventure.
