Die Zimmer sind leider sehr veraltet. Teilweise auch ein feuchter/ modriger Geruch. Die Bademäntel konnten wir leider nicht verwenden, da in diesen Motten lebten.

Wir haben die Anlage wegen der Thermen gebucht. Dies war sehr praktisch und schön, abends oder früh morgens in die Bäder zu können - ohne den grossen Rummel. Das Zimmer (Deluxe) war sehr gross, sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet. Wer einen schönen Ausblick auf den Arenal wünscht, ist hier falsch. Für uns war es nach all den sehr naturnahen Unterkünften fast ein kleiner Kulturschock.

Sehr schöne Anlage mit vielen unterschiedlich warmen Becken. Das Bad ist auch für die öffentlichkeit zugänglich, es hätte aber nie zu viele Leute. Das Personal in allen Bereichen ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind schön, aber im Erdgeschoss ein bisschen dunkel und man hat keine Sicht auf den Arenal, weil die Pflanzen die Sicht versperren

A nice hotel with many thermal pools
This is a very nice hotel with a great amount of thermal pools. We came there for a night in January and decided to come back for three more nights in May. Two of the pools feature a pool bar and some smaller ones are even open 24 hours. There are 2 restaurants (1 'a la carte, 1 buffet style) which are reasonably price and good. All walkways are paved, rooms clean and friendly.

Go to the Hot Springs, AVOID the Hotel!!
I really loved the Hot Springs!! After doing lots of sightseeing and doing stuff on our trip we enjoyed a relaxing day at the Hot Springs!! Unfortunately the hotel building was a joke keeping the price in mind. When we got into the room there was a very strong smell of mold!!! We asked the reception to see another room, which was the same... it seemed like they would just repaint walls with mold stains. I cannot explain the smell otherwise... Except that, the room was clean, but the bathtub had some fixed damages. When I was taking a shower, there was no(!) hot water!! Even though a sign said that it was the thermal water as well, which has like 40 Degrees, but not in the shower?! That's not expect from a 4(?) star Hotel!! We got an ok deal, but if I imagine that someone has paid more than 200$ for a room that smells a lot like mold and no hot water in the shower (when you're at a hot springs spa)!?

Heiße Quellen am Fuße des Arenal Vulkans!
Aufgrund der doch eher negativen Bewertungen des Hotels, nicht der heißen Quellen, sind wir ohne großen Erwartungen an das Hotel hingefahren. Das hat sich nicht bewahrheitet. Das Hotel, das typische CR Frühstück, das Ambiente, Sauberkeit des Zimmers, einfach Alles war wirklich empfehlenswert. Allerdings nicht in der Hochsaison und deutlich im voraus buchen, dann ist es nicht zu überlaufen und das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auch. Hat 4 Sterne plus verdient. Immer wieder gerne!

We have stayed at this property 6 times before and has always loved it. We had a problem that our shower was not working, barely a trickle of water. We informed the staff, and they agreed that something was definitely wrong. They offered to fix or switch rooms. As we had already unpacked for multiple days, we gave them a chance to fix. We were told it was fixed, and it was temporarily, but then the same problem occurred. We were offered an opportunity to move, but is was already late on our last night, we didn't want to pack up, just to check out the next day. basically we had 1 day where the shower worked properly. The staff offered no compensation, which should have been offered even if we had moved for our inconvenience. The front desk tried, but basically have no authority to do anything. The manager, Max, was a coward, and would not even talk to us directly. Problems occur in hospitality, but the gauge of a quality establishment is how problems are handled. Offering to switch rooms at the least convenient time with no other compensation is not acceptable. Not to mention we were repeat "VIP" guests. We weren't looking for a full refund or anything, just a small discount for our inconvenience. I even asked if they would cover the 2 drinks we had at the bar ($24) and we were told it was not possible. What a joke. Baldi has changed over the years, and they definitely do not care about the guests, they are more concerned about selling day passes to the springs

The property is as lovely advertised. However, the unfriendly staff, ridiculous charging policy and bad food is what ruined it for us. We were charged $100/day in addition to our contracted rate because we had our daughter checked in with us under a 2p reservation. I am more than willing to pay the additonal fee because of my booking error, however, it did not come with a room upgrade or even a cot to accomdate the additional person in a single king bed room. Making matters even worse, our family got food poisoning after our first dinner there. This caused us to miss out on a prepaid tour the next day. When we reported this to the front desk, their reaction was less than empathetic or bother to ask our names or what room we were in. I cannot recommend this property based on customer service. There are lots of nice properties in the area which i am sure would have provided us a nicer experience.

My recent stay at Baldi Hot Springs Hotel and Spa in La Fortuna provided a mix of positives and negatives, ultimately leaving me with a mixed impression. On the positive side, the hot springs themselves were very nice, clean, and conveniently located. They provided a relaxing retreat and were a highlight of the stay. However, the experience was marred by several issues. The front desk staff were not attentive, leading to a lengthy check-in process and a lack of responsiveness throughout my stay. While the breakfast buffet offered a good variety of options, the lunch buffet was only average in quality. Furthermore, I encountered issues with the hotel's policies regarding pool towels. Despite being provided with towels upon check-in, one was stolen while I was using the hot springs. When I approached the staff for assistance, they were unhelpful and failed to address the situation satisfactorily. To exacerbate matters, upon checking out, I was charged for the stolen towel, which felt unjust given the circumstances. Although I enjoyed the attractions of La Fortuna, including its natural beauty, I do not plan to stay at Baldi Hot Springs Hotel and Spa again in the future. The lack of attentive service, coupled with policy enforcement issues, detracted significantly from what could have been a more enjoyable experience.

I did not like that we had to pay an additional $50 per night for my 10 year old daughter, but then were not provided with a roll away bed for her or even a towel. Our "view" was of a construction site. Our room was a "family suite", but it was just one giant room without even a sofa to sit on. It was not very family friendly. There seemed to be no perks to staying on-site at Baldi, other than breakfast. It was crowded by outside guests using the pools all but the very early morning hours.

My husband passed away just before our trip. We paid over $4,000.00 to stay here. I called as soon as I could to cancel this trip. Every reservation needed for this trip EXCEPT the resort offered a refund. Even tickets purchased that clearly stated no refund found this to be a unique situation that empathy and compassion needed to be shared gave a complete refund. When I tried to talk with someone about the situation they refused to speak with me or a translator. I could only send an email that they refuse to answer. I would warn any US citizen to ever stay at this resort.

The resort was beautiful and had amazing hot spring choices of 25 pools. The place is clean the water gets drained out every night. They sanitizes the place. The service sucks in the front desk, they are not friendly at all. They charged a lot for money for having extra kids in the room. It’s not it’s an all inclusive resort where they need to charge $100 a day for a child. I would recommend this place because it’s beautiful but it’s over prices for no reason. This resort also has day pass for outsiders. So they caters for outside guest more then the people who are staying there.

I paid over a $1,000 per night, there was limited availability of pool towels and the towels that were provided were torn. I have a picture. The resort was so crowded with the day pass people that there was no space to sit for the hotel residence. There was no reserve chairs, or anything else for the hotel residence paid thousands of dollars. There was not even bottled water available in the room without paint $10 a bottle when you paid over a thousand dollars per night for the room.

This property was beautiful and relaxing. Very clean. Staff was very courteous and helpful. We recommend this property. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Lunch and dinner food was acceptable but we would prefer more authentic Costa Rican cuisine. Restaurants offered many American choices.

Service at the front desk was excellent, Joseph was awesome. Food was good. Pool bartenders were fantastic and very courteous. The springs were very clean and wonderful. The room was nice and clean and the service cleaning the room was excellent but we found the bed uncomfortable and the bathtub is very high and difficult to get in and out of. It was a bit of a hike to get our luggage to our room and there are no luggage carts. It is definitely worth the stay.
