„We stayed here for one night while exploring the local area. Overall the experience was good, the room was comfortable and the location is convenient. But this is a very basic accommodation, and the bathroom was in need of some repair. The owner and family were very helpful and accommodating, and in general the people in this area are very nice. This is a great location for views of Mt Kinabalu, and for local hikes, and also for visiting the Desa Dairy Farm.“

„This hotel is very conveniently located in the city center. It close to the waterfront, Gaya street Friday and Saturday night and Sunday markets, convenient stores, laundry, and restaurants. The rooms are clean, and the staff is just awesome! The staff is very responsive, gave great city, food, and travel recommendations, and were accommodating. For the price, location, and friendliness of the staff, you cant go wrong staying here!“

„Need to improve on the cleanliness of the kitchen. Inspect the kitchen utensils, the water filter is leaking, the dish soup is non-existent, the drying rack left in the kitchen cupboard to house insects, the living room sofa leather was teared apart. The amenities advertised includes water bottles, but when asked for it from the staff on site, it’s not provided as complimentary. „Very basic but excellent location v near NP entrance, and kind hosts. Wifi was pretty good when switched on. Restaurant opposite park entrance offered breakfast from 6.30. My room was rather tired with barely functioning plumbing, but perfectly adequate considering the location benefit.“

„Pas de réception. Heureusement que je suis tombé par hasard (c était minuit) sur d’autres clients de l’hôtel pour qu’ils contactent le manager afin de me donner le code de la boîte aux lettres qui contenait la clé de ma chambre. Hotels.com ne donne pas le numéro de téléphone pour obtenir les codes pour récupérer les clés…. Ma chambre donnait sur un bar discothèque donc point de vue tranquillité on repassera!“

However as it is in the hill insects are an inevitable sight (ants, mosquitoes, etc.) esp in open areas, but it's tolerable inside the house.
