We have made these changes for a number of reasons, including environmental concerns and the desire to make our restaurant more comfortable for our guests. Regarding the use of placemats, we understand that tablecloths are a traditional part of fine dining. However, we believe that placemats are a more sustainable option. Washing white tablecloths uses a lot of water and energy, and it can also release harmful chemicals into the environment. By using placemats, we are able to reduce our environmental impact and help to protect the environment. We also believe that placemats can be as elegant and stylish as tablecloths. We have chosen high-quality placemats that we believe will enhance the dining experience. Further to this, the use of placemats is a trend that many high-end restaurants are adopting lately for environmental reasons. We also understand that you have a preference for men to wear long pants in the dining room. However, we believe it is reasonable and justified to allow men to wear long shorts in the summer months, especially with this year’s high temperatures; Long pants can be very uncomfortable in hot weather, and we want our guests to be comfortable when they are dining with us. Of course, we informed all guests involved accordingly and we regret to hear that our explanation did not satisfy you.Further, and regarding the standard room you had booked, we have never hidden that the specific room category is not renovated compared to the vast majority of our other rooms. But these rooms are maintained very well, and not renovated does not mean that they are not clean. In this case, if you felt that it was not cleaned up to your expectations, extra cleaning could have been conducted additionally upon your request and we only hope you have shared this with the reception to get your room cleaned as much as you liked.The food served at the hotel is very various. The food at the Main Restaurant is different daily, only to be repeated after 10 days, and we offer extensive menus in our a la carte Restaurants.
