„Unfortunately the hotel is quite run down. It seems like it has been a solid place but these times are long gone. It’s not possible to open the window, so the air can only be exchanged by air conditioner. When we checked in, we noticed that the toilet in our room was not cleaned and to our horror there were also finger/toenails lying on the floor…. They gave us a new room.. All in all it’s an okay hotel but not for the price and it doesn’t deserve 4 stars. “

„This is a beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms and a gorgeous public bath. The rooms were clean and probably the biggest I ever had in Japan while still being affordable. I regret not having tried the hotel's free evening soba. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful in general, but unfortunately very inflexible about guests in the rooms. I was meeting up with a local friend, but the hotel does not allow guests in the rooms, not even in the afternoon if you want to chat with your friends ...
