Good deal with Expedia and vitality - double. Room with a single for our daughter and breakfast included. Lovely staff, nice pool and sauna, really interesting area too, recommend the museum

This was a very nice hotel for 1 night stay. Old with character. We were here for a funeral and staff were very accommodating. The cooked breakfast was tasty and plenty of it, also cereals etc on offer, good choices.

Quick weekend away
We really did have a lovely stay at The Burton, staff were really friendly and helpful. Our food was very nice, prices are good. We definitely would return here.

Lovely hotel, great price, great food, great Spa!
A lovely hotel for our overnight stay. Comfortable room with everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant for the evening, the food was lovely and cooked fresh. Cooked reakfast was amazing, catering for vegetarians and meat eaters. We checked out and spent the morning in the Spa which included a pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will return!

The property is old, but pretty well kept. The bar and dining were very good, and the attention of the staff was excellent. I do wish the wifi would have been stronger, as I couldn't use it from my room, and had to go downstairs to use it.

Great base for exploring a beautiful area
We found the Burton to be a well-run hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It exemplifies the best of the old-style hotels (i.e., before the rise of global chains) that I remember from 40+ years ago. Not that it is stuffy or hide-bound. The food is a blend of classic and more recent tastes. The spa is excellent with a nice pool for family groups and dedicated swimmers alike. (The steam room, though, could do with more steam.) We stayed during a heat wave but the bedroom was (just) OK for sleeping even without aircon. The surrounding area was new to us but well worth exploring further, so we shall probably be back fairly soon...

De olho no Spa
Um hotel que entrou no circuito por acaso. Muito be. Recebido por todos, muito simpáticos e prestativos. O quarto é razoável, fica um pouco quente a. Pote e um cheiro de umidade no ar, mas limpo e um quarto grande. O momento mais esperado foi o das piscinas, com jacuzzi e sauna. Uma pena que vai somente até as 20h. A cozinha muito boa com pratos simples, mas somente até as 21h. Considerando que estava claro até as 22h, acho que poderiam repensar os horários. Mas valeu a estadia, voltaríamos.

The big pool and sauna, whirlpool, steam room that was available; I didn't expect that! We arrived at 4:30 after a day of hiking, and was personally escorted to our room by John. We also opted to dine in that evening. The pub burger I had was super.

A great getaway for all ages.
A lovely weekend away. The hotel was easy to find with plenty of parking. All members of staff were welcoming, informative and friendly. The room and on suite were perfect; a good size, clean and the beds were comfy. The food (breakfast and dinner) was delicious with a good selection of dishes, the small plates being perfect for children. My nieces' (who is 8) favorite part was the swimming pool which was a great size, nice changing rooms and towels provided. The perfect place to stay and enjoy Herefordshire and Brecon area.

Great location
I stayed in Room 14 which is a single room, it was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfy. The staff at the hotel were fabulous and made the stay very enjoyable. The pool is nice and I can recommend using the spa and having a massage with Gemma. My shoulder had been stiff and locked up for some time and Gemma sorted it out for and I have my flexibility back. The food in the restaurant was delicious.

Great!
Very friendly, helpful and warm welcome. Lovely comfortable room. The food at breakfast and in the restaurant in the evening was very tasty. Superb pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna which we made good use of! We had a lovely relaxing weekend. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Pleasant visit - tempered by pool not being open on Thursday and the gym being closed Thurs and Fri and Saturday (?). Breakfast menu a bit old fashioned and restaurant menu a bit limited if a non-meat eater. Very busy bar. Two wakes in three days?
