Gemütlich eingerichtetes Haus
Wir haben uns in dem funktional und gemütlich eingerichteten Haus sehr wohlgefühlt. Alles Nötige ist vorhanden und gut gepflegt. Mitten im Dorf zwischen Dolphin Inn, wo man sehr gut essen kann, Kirche und Friedhof kann man sich geborgen fühlen. Zu Fuß ist das Meer in einer halben Stunde erreichbar. Die weitere Umgebung ist reich an netten Ausflugszielen. Abends haben wir uns auf die Rückkehr ins Old Hundredth gefreut. Kleiner Makel: Die Matratzen könnten besser sein, es gibt keine Dusche, der Garten ist nur begrenzt nutzbar.

Beautiful cottage in beautiful area
We stayed in this nice cottage for a week - there is a lot to do and see. Even two wonderful beaches can reached on foot, the coast path to Bigbury- on-Sea with superb views is a must as well. We visited a lot of villages, towns, manor houses and gardens. Perfect! Pub next door is very good! The only disadvantage are the really small and narrow roads. But evenings on open fire after coming back are very relaxing! Great value!

Warm, bright, airy and very comfortable
A very peaceful location in a village about a mile away from the coast. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and well equipped for four people. The cottage is nestled between the pub and the church so could not be more central. As others have noted, the only thing missing is a shower attachment in the bathroom, but everything else was so ideal it would not stop us booking again.

New Year at The Hundtedth.
Another Christmas New Year stay. Shame about the weather but The Old Hundredth didn't disappoint. Warren and Zoe doing a fine job next door at The Dolphin. Perhaps next time we'll make it a summertime visit for a whole new perspective.

Off the beaten track
Cosy cottage in old fashioned village next to the pub, church and village hall. Lovely walks amid stunning scenery on your doorstep- the Erme estuary and the SW Coastal Path as well as walks in the Devon countryside. Next door is a decent local pub but for something a bit special it’s worth making the short trip to Ringmore to visit The Journey’s End pub, a really unique venue, with great food beer and service.

Pub next door. What's not to love?
We had a perfect stay at this classic Devon cottage in a lovely little village right next door to The Dolphin Inn. Real fire, cozy lounge area. As many reviews have mentioned it really could do with a shower though for a whole week stay. Hence 4 stars overall. Go on. Splash out on a shower.

Good but could be better
This is a lovely old cottage that is cosy and comfortable. As a couple with a dog it suited us well except the lack straight forward easy walks from the village We were aware of the lack of shower but had hoped for at least a hand held attachment for hair washing. We were disappointed by the old pots and pans with peeling non-stick surfaces. There is some nice crockery but it is hidden by the sheer volume. We get the impression that the owners rarely stay here as if they did a few simple inexpensive upgrades would become obvious. There is a new landlord in the Dolphin next door, he arrived at the end of September and is friendly and planning a relaunched menu in the next few days so ignore older reviews of the pub.

Relaxing holiday in a lovely part of the world.
We had a lovely stay in a very comfortable cottage in a very quiet village close to the beautiful coast. Great spot for walkers and a great base to explore from. Pub next door was handy although at the time of our stay the menu was rather limited. Some noise from the pub kitchen but that didn't bother us. The cottage is very comfortable with good WiFi and TV which is unusual in such a remote location. The only improvement would be to have a shower over the bath but that's a minor point really. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Nice cosy cottage.
We were visiting Kingston as our daughter and family were staying in Ringmore. Everything you needed was in the cottage, I took my own linen and towels, as they were not included in the price. We thought we may go to the pub next door for a meal with our family, but the new tenants had only been in for two days, so could not provide any cooked food. We went to Journeys end pub for food which is 10 mins away by car it was excellent. Mrs Bray

Relaxing week in a charming old cottage near the beautiful Devon coast.
This charming property was well equipped and extremely comfortable. The village was within walking distance of the south Devon coastline and we enjoyed a number of beautiful coastal walks. The property was extremely good value for money, the only negative point being the lack of a shower (bath only) although this would not stop us returning. Would recommend to any of our friends for a very comfortable stay.

This is a well decorated and spacious property, however we were not too keen on the location being attached to a pub, though it was not too rowdy. Our parking space was often taken, including when we arrived. We think bedding should be included as part of the rent.

Lovely Stay
The house was great; good size for a family of four, tastefully furnished and clean. Covid precautions well thought out and explained so we felt safe entering and staying there. Nice quiet location even though next to a pub which was convenient for a pint and a meal. Good kids' playground nearby so kept them happy if staying local for the day. Bathroom could really do with a shower although this is personal taste. Plenty of hot water however so was fine for everyone to have baths and do washing up etc. Garden was great to have a secluded outdoor space if we needed it. Local beaches were just stunning although we really needed to take the car with small children as just a bit too far to walk all the way. All in all a really good week away.

Super getaway
Overall experience fantastic cottage superb and very well equipped. Very calming property. Only slight drawback would be being next door to the pub. We visited in February experinced some noise but not too disturbing, would imagine it to be worse in summer months. We will definitely revisit

Very comfortable cottage in village location. Just the ticket!
We loved our short stay in Old Hundredth. The place itself is clean and well looked after with everything you need. The bed is especially comfortable, I slept like a log! Perfect winter break- long walks along the coastal paths and then back to a hot meal, a long, hot, soak in the bath and a real fire. Perfect. Looking forward to next tine. Thank you!

Wonderful week away
Just returned from a wonderful week at this gorgeous and charming cottage. Set in the lovely village of Kingston with a great pub the dolphin Inn, and close to the beautiful wonwell beach. The cottage is charming, homely and very well equipped. We had everything we needed! Lovely decor and very comfortable beds. The cottage and the village are truly charming! There is a lovely market on a Tuesday in the village hall. It’s clear to see why this village has been crowned village of the year. The locals were so friendly and there is a lovely community. Will definitely be coming back!

The cottage is a lovely size and has everything you need in it from games to keep you entertained to going on lovely country walks. There is the dolphin pub next door that serves tasty food, however it is best to book a table as very popular. I would definitely love to come back and stay again

First stayed here some 30 or so years ago. Recent return showed sympathetic modernisation whilst retaining old features. Warm, well equipped, great as a base for walking. Next door to good pub with good and varied menu. Convenient for exploring South Hams and beyond.

Perfect quiet getaway
Lovely cottage in very nice small village. The Dolphin pub is about 20 metres away and serves very good food, although it's just about chips with everything, and the staff very nice. The village church is behind the cottage and the bells ring on the hour. In my opinion the cottage would be improved with the addition of a shower, a shaver socket and a new sink in the kitchen, but overall no real complaints and if returning to the area we would stay here again. Bedrooms were large enough with plenty wardrobe and drawer space and the double bed comfortable. Parking outside the cottage wasn't a problem and the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog to be left free to run around.

Cosy little cottage in a lovely friendly little village and close to some beautiful beaches.
Our 2nd stay in this cottage. We feel very "at home" here. Very relaxing and never want to leave! The only little niggle is the fact that there is no shower, as my partner and I are on the "large" side we find the bath a bit of a squeeze! Otherwise a lovely place and we hope to come back soon.

lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful spot.
We had a lovely stay in Kingston. Stunning walks from the house ( particularly the walk to Westcombe beach). The kitchen is well equipped, beds comfortable, all really great. Sadly we didn't manage to eat at The Dolphin next door, as it's very popular, so book a day ahead! Thank you for a memorable holiday.

Just the place for piece and quite especially for a couple, freindly bar staff right next door, only drawback is shops but full instructions are given to the nearest shop just 2 miles away which is only a 10min drive, lots of beaches to travel to and places to visit, the cottage itself very cosy with comfortable beds and an original log burning fire, will consider a return visit.

Cosy Peaceful cottage
We enjoyed our stay, the cottage is cosy and peaceful despite being handily place next door to the village pub on one side and the village church on the other. The garden is a lovely terraced typical cottage garden. The area is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the many walks in the area certainly dont dissappoint

A fabulous little 'get away' from it all cottage in a friendly village
We stayed at the cottage over the new year period with our two boys (aged 10 and 13). We all loved it! The village is super friendly and the pub (literally next door) was friendly with a great atmosphere. As for the cottage, it's open plan design was great for the family to spend time together, which was our intention. The real fire really set the tone for a relaxing week of 'doing very little'. We cooked at home on a few nights (using up the left over turkey to make turkey curry!) and all the appliances in the kitchen worked brilliantly. The housekeeper was really helpful too (she's local). Upstairs is fabulous with super comfy beds and lots of storage. We all slept like babies and felt very rested. Great walks to beaches, short drives to lovely little towns (Modbury was a favourite for the little shops with some great finds), and some super evenings in the local, The Dolphin. And we loved that we were off grid too (no phone reception or internet). Even the boys got used to it and decided that walks through the woods were better than wifi. Result! All in all, we loved our stay and will be back, I'm sure. Thank you!
