Cosy and comfortable place with a great breakfast!
I had to stay in Kings Lynn for one night and the Lairlight Lodge is a quite cosy place to be! Great breakfast, pleasant host and comfortable bed!! It's definitely worth a second visit.

A perfect B & B located in a quiet part of Kings Lynn. A 10 - 15 minute walk to Bus and train stations. Nothing too much trouble for the hosts.

From the moment we walked into this hotel for our stay. Carl was very friendly from the off and was very great host indeed. The room was very clean and tidy. Liked all the little details he and his partner put into each room. The cooked breakfast was of the best i have in a hotel ever. If liked more toast etc was more gradually to. Always welcoming hosts and i would definitely stay at this hotel again

Excellent value for money.
We were warmly welcomed by Carl, and had a very comfortable bed and room. Top quality breakfast (for example really flavoursome meaty sausages) and plenty to choose from, to include omelettes, vegan, and very fresh fruit salad. Great location, just a few minutes walk through the park to town.

Well positioned, excellent friendly little B&B
Karl & Jude were amazing hosts of Fairlight and my sister in law and myself were made to feel very comfortable very quickly. We had the Norfolk Lavender room with matching accessories and a lovely view with access to a beautiful quiet and private garden with table, chairs and bench. The room was compact but had plenty of room for the twin beds, two chairs and enough storage space for the 5 days we were staying and big enough for 2 people. It was also lovely to be able to have the door open to the garden when the temperature allowed. The beds were very comfortable and bedding very nice with spare blankets if needed. The breakfast choice was amazing - fresh fruit salad, fruit juice, greek yoghurt, fruit compote, various cereals, choice of various bread or toast with homemade jams and marmalades, cook to order traditional breakfast or omelette choices, tea and fresh coffee in cafetieres. It was a lovely experience and Karl & Jude were always quickly accessible via email if it wasn't at normal times and were able to help with everything we asked or needed including a large umbrella and drying clothes when we got soaked. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay. It is the best B&B we have ever stayed in and will return if we can.

Fantastic & Welcoming B&B
We are currently moving to Norfolk and used this as a hub whilst visiting schools in Fakenham for 3 days. We made a couple of changes to our booking, including breakfast time and number of people in our room during our stay. There were no issues with any of the changes and the hosts could not be more welcoming. I cannot recommend Fairlight Lodge enough, fantastic accommodation.

Good value stay
It's a no nonsense place that gave us a good nights sleep and a functional shower, although space was at a premium. Breakfast was definitely the best thing. Cooked to order, the choice was amazing - excellent. Drink making in your room was improved by the flask of semi-skimmed milk, kept cool in the kitchen fridge. There is a lovely quiet garden for your use, if required.

Looked very normal on the exterior, but once inside it was clean and respectable. Jude was polite and explained everything, which was also in the email download. The towels and suchlike were good quality and the bed was comfy. A lovely 15 minutes walk to town through 'the walks park. The breakfast was spot on, all cooked to perfection, with good quality food. All in all, a very pleasant stay. Jude and Carl are lovely people too

Hi Penny, Thank you for your review. Glad we made you feel welcome. The toilet seats do get more heavy use than homes and we do tighten them. We have re-tightened that seat after your comments. Most people seem to like that mattress, not had it mentioned its hard before but we will take a note in case we get other comments.

Fine stay.
Hosts explained the measures that was taken to observe the new rule for Covic -19. Room was in the extention part in the garden so it was quiet. We both skept well. Tv may need updating. Shower was warm not the strongest. Overall satisfied with the stay and lovely breakfast. Close to old town.

Could be better
Easy to find. Small car park but also easy to park in the road outside if no spaces left. Lovely friendly couple greeted us, and offered to carry our cases to the room - a first for us! The B&B is an easy 10 -15 mins walk into town. The room that we had was a bit on the small side but adequate for one nights stay. The en-suite was also small. Our room faced onto the main road which was reasonably quiet at night, but if you're sensitive to noise you may need earplugs. The curtains did let the light in early morning so a sleep mask could also be an essential. Generally the B&B was nice and clean, with one obvious exception - the shower sealant. This was pretty much missing altogether and replaced with a black 'damp' line. I'm sure that the shower had been cleaned, but black damp is never a good look. Breakfast was very tasty with a good selection of fresh fruit and cereals, and an excellent cooked breakfast if you wanted it. Bear in mind that this review is based on the room that we had. Other rooms may be more spacious and been refurbished.

We've only recently taken over the B&B and had noticed some areas of black mould in a couple of the en-suite showers which we are treating at the moment and we will be getting any missing sealant replaced. It would be helpful if you can let us know which room you were in so we can take a look at the curtains to see if they can be improved. Glad you enjoyed the breakfast!

Alistair and James made us feel very welcome. Our downstairs room was lovely with an ensuite which was modern and spotless. Shower had a mind or it's own when trying to angle it so as not to get my hair wet but worked it out by my second shower. They gave us loads of information regarding eateries and places to visit Only downfall for us was we didn't fancy the walk back into town for an evening drink and there wasn't any really local pubs but that wasn't their fault There was a beautiful garden which guests could use. Breakfast was lovely with everything. between fresh fruit and yoghurt and the full English with locally sourced ingredients Vegetarian options were available
