Helpful, friendly staff, very convenient for hopping on to a bus straight to the centre of Oxford (far better than taking the car), convenient, less than a 10 minute walk on a quiet lane to North Oxfordshire Crematorium, spacious room, good breakfast and Black Sheep on hand pump!

Staff nice and helpful. Room tired and in need of refurb. Restaurant decor nice though could maybe have done with some background music. Breakfast good especially Eggs Benedict. Location suitable for needs of our trip.

Sturdy castle stay
Friendl reception on arrival and accommodating for booking evening meal. Rooms ok, bit dated, but clean enough for 1 x night stay.

Good Knights stay at the castle
We stayed for one night on q sat Saturday, for a wedding that was near by . The room was a good size and comfortable in an annex so no problems with noise from the pub . Breakfast was excellent. Overall good value for money

Easy booking in. Food looked excellent, although we didn't eat here this time. This was our second stay at Sturdy's, staff were lovely and helpful. Will stay again, Easy access to Woodstock and Blenheim

Friendly and welcoming.
Lovely staff. Friendly and welcoming. Food was good. Room was clean and tidy. We didn't hear the main road overnight. The mattress was quiet firm, just in case you are used to a soft mattress. Plenty of parking and close to lots of things.

Pleasant hotel
Lovely room with all the extras that make a difference, good toiletries, hot drinks tray with biscuits and bottled water . Good breakfast which you order the night before. We also ate in the restaurant for dinner and we're a bit disappointed by the menu. It was fairly basic pub food but there were no specials to add to it

Average is the word to describe this hotel. Had issues with my room door not locking and the wifi was useless, gave up in the end. I had to send my food back basically because it tasted horrible. There were some good bits, the breakfast was good and the rooms are OK and comfortable. Just seemed a bit run down.

Very happy guest.
The hotel is on its own but we only stayed one night so didn’t matter to us. Close to Blenheim so perfect to visit. Staff friendly and helpful, room lovely, bathroom a bit tired but spotless. Evening meal and breakfast was delicious. No complaints at all.

A good base for Blenheim place visit.
Good comfortable room. Value for Money. Served the purpose of our trip. Staff very pleasant. Food was to a good standard. Only downside was, we arrived on a Sunday. Last order for any food was 17.45. Bar calls last orders at 20.45 and all closed By 21.00. So back to the room and watch a bit of TV. Week days food served until 21.00 and bar stays open till 22.00. Nice seating area outside for a relaxing couple of drinks.

We stayed at Sturdy’s Castle as a base for the British F1 GP. We have nothing but praise for the accommodation, food and most importantly the very professional and welcoming staff. Very impressed and would totally recommend the location.
