Frieden und Ruhe

Frieden und Ruhe ist der perfekte Name für diesen ruhigen Rückzug. Erkunden Sie die Bay of Islands und kehren Sie jeden Nachmittag in ein kleines Stück Himmel zurück. Oder verbringen Sie ganze Tage hier, entspannen Sie in den parkähnlichen Gärten, rudern Sie auf dem See oder besuchen Sie die Tiere auf dem Bauernhof.

Das Ferienhaus ist neu gebaut mit modernem Komfort, aber voller Charakter und Charme. Das ganze Jahr über wird Komfort mit Kamin, Wärmepumpe und Klimaanlage gewährleistet. Es gibt viel Platz, um ein Boot und einen Anhänger zu parken, und die öffentlichen Startrampen rund um die Bucht sind leicht zu erreichen.

Wir sind zentral gelegen, um die breitere Bay of Islands zu genießen. Wir befinden uns zehn Minuten nördlich von Kerikeri, 35 Minuten von Paihia und Russell im Süden und 35 Minuten von Coopers Beach und Mangonui im Norden. Dazwischen gibt es noch viele weitere interessante Orte zu besuchen.

Nach unserem Umzug aus Großbritannien nach Neuseeland haben wir ein Haus für Familien und Freunde gebaut, damit sie ihren eigenen Raum und ihre Privatsphäre genießen können. Der anfängliche Ansturm ist vorbei und wir dachten, es würde Spaß machen, neue Besucher zu begrüßen, die sich in unserem besonderen Ferienhaus entspannen könnten.

Für Ihren Aufenthalt ist ALLES INBEGRIFFEN, damit Sie sich keine Sorgen machen müssen. Kostenloses kabelloses Breitband, ein komplettes SKY-Paket, Bettwäsche, Handtücher, Reinigung und Müllentsorgung.

Nach vorheriger Absprache können wir gut erzogene Hunde gegen eine Gebühr von 15 USD pro Nacht aufnehmen.
Wir lieben es, dass Hunde kommen, um ein oder zwei zu bleiben, je mehr desto besser. Unser eigener Boarder Collie Tui ist sehr menschen- und hundefreundlich. Das 12 Hektar große Grundstück ist alle mit einem elektrischen Tor umgeben. Es gibt einen schönen neuen Wintergarten, in dem Ihr Hund sicher und geschützt schlafen kann. Wir sind gerne Babysitter (nur Hunde, keine Kinder!) Wenn Sie in der Bucht der Inseln segeln oder angeln möchten und den Hund nicht mitnehmen können.

Steve & Dot (and we can't forget Charlie) were the perfect hosts. From the moment I booked, the communication from Steve and Dot was fantastic. On our arrival Steve greeted us with a very warm welcome and a roaring fire. The cottage was immaculate with every conceivable home comfort and we wanted for nothing throughout our stay.Charlie endlessly entertained our two dogs leaving us to relax and enjoy our surroundings.We were looking for peace and tranquility and this certainly delivered!We would highly recommend staying as you won't be disappointed.

Peace and tranquility was a second heaven away from…..HOME

we had an amazing stay….. host couldn’t have been more helpful if they had tried harder. The family dog just made us so welcome and was so well behaved and a joy to have visit and tell us what he had been doing all day. Couldn’t recommend this stay more than I have to any couples or families…..just a delightful stunning spot. Well done Steve and Dot.

A great place to stay

Our family of 4 adults stayed 4 nights at Peace & Tranquility. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Steve & Dot were lovely hosts, made even better with Charlie the dog visiting us for pats & for us to play frisbee with him. Steve & Dot gave clear instructions on how to find their place & even offered to do a small grocery shop before we arrived in case we didn't have time on the way!The cottage was well catered, full cooking facilities & plenty of clean towels etc.The cottage was very clean & well maintained. Paradise, Indeed!

Lovely, peaceful setting, a cottage with all the mod cons, designed for comfort and convenience and set up for visitors. Steve and Dot are perfect hosts. We've stayed in many other rentals in Kerikeri over the years and this is our favorite. In fact, it's one of the best VRBO properties we've rented in more than a decade of retirement travel. Highly recommended.

Both beautiful and dog friendly

Perfect holiday home for family!

At peace and tranquillity, the views were not only amazing but the atmosphere and hosts were wonderful!! Having spent 6 nights there and waking up to the clean crisp air gave my family and I comfort and serenity. The gardens were vast allowing my children to run around and play with the host's dog, Charlie. The house itself was perfect for a family of 4, with everything made as accessible and available as possible. Upon our arrival, Steve and Dot welcomed us into the house and explained how all the heating and other appliances worked to make everything easy for my family to use. Not only that, as we arrived late in the day they did supermarket shopping on our behalf so we could have something to eat. Peace and Tranquillity was away from the main roads allowing it to be more of a peaceful environment which was exactly what my family and I were looking for on our get away trip.

Short Winter break

The property and hosts were excellent and attention t detail was good. Lovely setting and not too far from anything if you need to pop down the road. Charlie the dog was great company for our dog and the country feel with the other animals was a bonus. Not cheap with all the add ons but well worth it.

Simply The Best

6 peaceful nights spent here enjoying a beautiful home, stunning outlook and amazing hosts. I cannot find anything to say that doesn’t include heaps of adjectives. Visitors to Peace and Tranquility

A perfect place which lives up to its name. Set in beautiful landscaped gardens, the cottage has everything that one could need. There is plenty to do in the region, but it is so delightful here that one can simply stay and enjoy a relaxing time watching the ducks on the lake, fan-tails flitting through the trees, and Charlie the friendly dog waiting for a pat! We would heartily recommend Peace and Tranquility to our friends.

Fabulous

So enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. Loved everything about it. You felt like you were on holiday the second you were there with beautiful accommodation and such an amazing view and gardens. So enjoyed sitting on the deck, playing frisbee and ball. And really enjoyed Charlie the dog who was so calm and patient with our little dog who sometimes gets a bit anxious with other dogs. Thanks for such a lovely holiday.

Fairytale Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Peace and Tranquillity tremendously. Especially the friendly and playful Border Collie named Charlie who lives in the main residence! The property and house are beautiful, the hosts are lovely, and there is so much light in the house! Note that the house is very close to a small lake and none of the windows have screens in them, so if you leave the windows open for air and to cool the house down as we did, you will get a LOT of bugs inside. Most don't bite, but some definitely do. That's the only criticism we have, everything else was amazing!

Absolutely fantastic!!

My husband, 2 sons (aged 4 and 3 months) and I stayed at Steve and Dots property for a long weekend to use as a base to visit family in Northland. It was absolutely fantastic - great location, beautiful setting (our 4 year old is obsessed with their dog Charlie) and great hosts. The house was perfect, with everything you need (including Sky to watch the All Blacks and wifi). Steve made us feel at home and welcome. The icing on the cake was sending back a forgotten item within a day and at no charge. We will be using this property as our base on all trips back to Northland in the future :)

Very relax and stress free holiday

We have a very active 6 months old puppy and she loves to explore the outside world. Recall is not something she is good at when she is sniffing and exploring. I feel safe without have to keep an eye on her when she roam around the property. She also get to play with Charlie, the host dog ! We loves the place, and we will come again for a holiday with our dog! Since so many parks, reserves are not dog friendly even if they are on leash :( So this place is a heaven to her! Running around and meeting other animals! The cottage itself is lovely and we had a very good rest! Kitchen is well equipped and you practically don't have to eat out!
