The hotel is charming. It’s not the most luxurious affair but everting is above average. Room comfortable and clean. Deluxe family has patio door with direct access to the garden is a plus. Their leisure facility is a bit tired and can be improved. Breakfast has enough variety. Staff friendly. Pleasant stay overall. Would recommend.

When we arrived they tried to charge extra than quoted for the room. The room was small and dated very average for the price. We stated we had 2 dogs before arrival and still got a small room. The food and drinks were ok. Nothing above average. We asked to have our deserts in our room. There was a £5 extra charge for this Again when checking out. Extra chargers were added that we had paid for. Just ok room and food. Could probably get better for the price.

We had one night at Damsen Dene and had a really lovely evening. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was good and reasonably priced. Unfortunately the shower didn't work very well at all, and we were charged more than the price quoted for the room, maybe for our two little dogs. We mind too much as it is in a beautiful spot, and very easy from the motorway.

Comfortable Stay Reasonably priced
Staff were very courteous, don’t be afraid to ask for a different room if you are not happy. the first room I was allocated was not to my liking at all…. No view, directly onto flat roof with air con unit running outside, I asked the receptionist and given a choice of two other rooms and was moved to room number 3. Now this room was a little smaller but it was warm, had character nice furnishing, 4 poster bed very comfortable and a spa bath. Very clean. Food at the hotel was very good. Plenty of gardens to walk the dog.

Really beautiful hotel and very cosy rooms, clean and comfortable. Nice to have use of the spa and gym. Lovely food in the restaurant. Receptionist extremely helpful and polite. The only thing I can say is that it was a bit chilly through the night.

Great stay
Fantastic stay, lovely extremely efficient staff. Very clean, rooms are cozy but have everything you need we both had a great sleep, the hotel was quiet and peaceful even though there was alot of people staying there it didnt feel like it Foid was fabulous both dinner and breakfast great value for money The gym could do with an update but has all you need I would recommend staying at this hotel and would stay again as it less than 10mins drive for the windermere golf course

Comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and steam and there is also a sauna, pool and gym. For me food is important and the dinner of triple roast birds (additional payment), was the best meal I’ve ever had, second to the breakfast there which was included in the cost

Layout and sceenery very good. Food was average, not good value for the price. The staff were very good at their job and were very courteous. The ducks were entertaining at breakfast time.

Damson Dene is a comfortable and quiet stay near Windermere. We enjoyed the pool area and the gardens, especially the miniature village. The restaurant staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious.

Great wkend at the lakes

Relaxing time
Had a lovely relaxing stay. Beautiful garden and views. Our standard room had everything required, comfortable bed, kettle and beverages, hair dryer and a nice bathroom. We slept very well. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which we enjoyed. The staff were friendly and polite. Would definitely return.

Family weekend break
Very nice rooms, comfy beds. Grounds are very nice with a lake out the back. Food very nice and service was always really friendly. Swimming pool area seemed a bit dated so dont expect a modern spa feel but enjoyed it all the same.

Loved this hotel, can’t fault it. We had a superior room in the new wing, nice and spacious and bathroom was fab. We made good use of the pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. The gym is a little tired but machines are useable. The grounds are nice for sitting outside in good weather and there’s a cute little model village on site which is a nice little extra (tokens at reception). Breakfast was pretty good. Staff in bar/restaurant were all really lovely and even though they were obviously exceptionally busy over bank holiday weekend everything ran really smoothly.

Amazing location
Excellent property, fantastic facilities, could have stayed a lot longer than one night! Beautiful surroundings, great choice of food and drinks, beautifully cleaned room. So close to Windermere and other locations, but felt so far away from all the hustle and bustle! Highly recommended property for couples, groups and families.

Decent Hotel in need of refresh
Nice Hotel but in need of some updating, especially outside. Walls grimy in places and window frames badly need repainting. My room was a little cramped but ok. Main issue was lack of decent blinds / thick curtains to block out early morning light.

Staff really friendly clean and comfortable room food really good for gluten free lots to choose from. Nice relaxed atmosphere. I ate in the bar wasn’t a problem. I left too early for breakfast but was offered a gluten free packed meal. Nice touch.

Very nice hotel 10mins away from Bowness. Helpful and very friendly staff. Delicious food in the restaurant. The only negative was the cold water in the pool.
