Very friendly staff at check in.Room was very used and badly maintained.Had to change room after first night because of a ancient and noisy aircon unit on wall of building opposite bedroom.Again staff very helpful.We got a nice 2 bedroom appt.for same price.Hotel has since our last stay 16 years ago gone down drastically,lots of maintenance issues.Price would be OK if breakfast was included.Overall stay was good if only for the location but stay away from rooms starting with a 2(noise)

Nichts Positives
- Der Empfang war schlecht - wir mussten alleine in das Zimmer. Keiner hat mit dem Gepäck geholfen. - wir haben 2 Zimmer gebucht. Bei Expedia stand, dass pro Zimmer ein Doppelbett vorhanden ist. Es waren pro Zimmer/Apartment zwei Doppelbetten. D.h. eine Buchhng hätten wir uns sparen können. - Sauberkeit lies zu wünschen übrig. KEINE WEITEREMPFEHLUNG!

super Hotel - absolut katastrophale Barfrau
das Hotel hat uns beeindruckt - die Lage ist perfekt sowohl für Turisten als auch für Aussendienstmitarbeiter - Zentrale Lage - sofort auf der Autobahn und 2 Minuten bis zum Einkaufszentrum mit einem grossen Bereich von Restauranst - (Asiatisch / Griechisch / Italienisch / Fisch / - einfach genial - aber auch den ganzen Fast-Food) Die Zimmer hatten sicher schon bessere Zeiten, das Badezimmer wirkt veraltet und würde ein bisschen Manikür geberauchen - die Küche ist riesig und könnte sicherlich auch kleiner sein - die RaumkosmetikerInnen waren jedoch sehr freundlich und die Zimmer waren sehr sauber - wir hatten zu zweit - zwei Doppelzimmer mit je einem Queen-Size-Bett - sehr gute Matrazen. Der Balkon ist ist gross genug - und man fühlt sich sofort wohl in den Zimmern. Das Personal von der Rezeption war genial!!!! Weiter so freundlich - sachlich - gut abklärend - hilfsbereit - ein wahrer Genuss. Das Hotel verfügt über einen kleinen Speisesaal - sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Morgenessen ist reichhaltig - verschiedene Brotsorten / süss und normal / Toast / die Eierstation gross und sofort bedient - die Qualität hervorragend. Dazu Käse - Schinken - 3 Säfte . Top Man kann mittags und abends auch von einer kleinen Karte auswählen - haben das jedoch nicht gemacht - da wir von der "Food-Meile" im Einkaufszentrum total begeistert waren........ einiger Minuspunkt und das ist für uns bei einem solchen Hotel unverständich ist die Bar - an der Rezeption wurden wir informiert, dass die Bar bis 23.00 Uhr offen hat - als wir nach dem Essen zurückkamen, wurden wir jedoch von einer Bardame wisch runtergemacht, dass Sie um 22.15 Uhr mit der Abrechnung beginnen muss, damit Sie rechtzeitig (22.58) aus dem Laden ist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sehr merkwürdige Einstellung für eine Bardame - wir haben dann aber nach Androhung wir würden die Rezeption informieren, doch noch was zu trinken bekommen - das hatten wir leider nicht nur an einen Abend so erlebt - sehr schade, für das ganze restliche Personal, dass sich so hilfsbereit gezeigt hat. Für uns ist so eine Barfrau - untragbar für ein Hotel von diesem Stand.....

It works for a 3 star accommodation hotel. However there appears to be a fundamental Shortage of towels. Be prepared as a guest to get interrupted for dirty towels around 9am and then again about 4pm when clean towels are delivered. Very unusual as the majority of hotels I have stayed in remove dirty towels and replace them at the same time as the daily cleaning of the hotel room.

Has all the bases covered - but nothing wow. Amenities are a little dated - the TV channels were not great considering it was a Rugby World Cup match and it was not showing. The food court nearby was not great - closed a little early and the food was not great quality - even for national franchises.

The property had a generator most places the lights go out. It aslo had a restaurant with a bar which was cool. Front receptionist guy was really nice. I didn't like the bathtub was dirty the appliances was outdated and family of 5 only had 2 towels but that was resolved quickly. The bedrooms DONT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING! So overall its good for the price. The mall is walking distance right across the street. Only 13 minutes from the airport.

Located at entrance 6 to Eastgate mall. Shopping and dining is quick and convenient if you don't have a car. Also close to Lughtsculpt if you want spa treatment for a few days. Kitchenettes are nice, rooms are clean but dated. Furniture is a bit worn but property clean, safe and perfect location.

This hotel needs a bit of renovations, breakfast was ok but the presentation of food needs some work over & a better trained staff. Things are not always consistent with procedures. It is in a good location for my needs, however the area is becoming more dangerous & lots of litter is thrown around with broken sidewalks which deters tourists from the area. Management should be concern about this.

There were a few missteps in communications, but overall the staff was friendly but lacking in knowledgeable places to go. The hotel is in a good location, but walking distance to Bedford Center is dangerous. Taxis service was available but expensive to go short distances. I got the impression many times that they weren't interested in serving guest. The property itself was nice, but renovations are badly needed. Rooms are dark, furniture is very worn, needs updating.

Worst experience ever
Worst couple nights of my life. It is now 3h30am and I cannot sleep, due to loud generators and fans next to my room. There is no ac in the bedroom, so to make matters worse, I have to open windows. There is not even a fan in the bedroom. Our TV has not worked from day one and nobody seems bothered to come and fix it, after enquiring about it several times. We had no kettle in our suite. After walking to front desk, in the rain, to ask about this, we were given a kettle with such a short power cord, that it does not reach the wall socket in the kitchen. I would not come back here if I was paid to do so.

Service was amazing. The front desk lady was brilliant. The room was clean, but for a room that should sleep 4, there was only 1 glass, 2 cups. Many of the lights did not work. We stayed in room 502. If I am ever in Johannesburg again, I will make use of the Mecure hotel as it was overall great and well situated.

Disappointing
This hotel needs a serious upgrade and some new management to oversea the standard of the units / rooms. Linen and towels are old and in terrible condition. Tiles cracked in the bathroom, mirrors old and rusted, toilet seat completely loose and broken. We were a family of 4, staying in a 2 bedroom unit. But the kitchen was equipt with only 2 of everything. Only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towels. No bath mat. When asking for more towels we waited more than 30 min for it. We are very disappointed in the overall standard of this hotel. After complaining, the manager apologized and said he will correct the errors. Needless to say, nothing had changed. Not value for money. Will not stay at any Meecure hotel again. Sadly.

Rooms nice and big. Had to wait two hours for towels. House keeping lady very rude. Mouse in the apartment so we had to move into another apartment. Man from reception was very pleasant. Unfortunately neighbours very loud until late.
