Das Personal und der Empfang waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Bar Angebot lecker und günstig. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer schon etwas älter.

Hotel nahe am Flughafen
Dinnerbufett am Abend war sehr gut. Leider kann man die Fenster nur bedingt öffnen da der Flugläm doch erheblich ist. Bei geschlossenem Fenster 3 fach Verglasung kann man jedoch schlafen. Shuttle zum Flughafen alle 30 Minuten, kostenlos.

Sehr zufrieden auch beim zweiten Mal
Am Ende unserer Südafrikareise übernachteten wir wiederum im Holiday Inn. Ergänzend zu meiner 1. Bewertung kann ich Folgendes berichten: Diesmal benutzten wir den angebotenen Shuttle vom Flughafen zum Hotel. Wir waren etwas in Sorge, dass wir es nach der Landung um 15 Uhr auch bis 15:30 Uhr zur Abfahrt des Shuttles schaffen würden, denn der Shuttle geht zu dieser Uhrzeit leider nur stündlich. Wir haben aber problemlos den Shuttle gefunden, haben es auch noch bis 15:30 Uhr geschafft und waren dann in nur 10 Minuten im Hotel. Auch der Shuttle zum Flughafen am nächsten Tag klappte perfekt. Er dauerte nur etwas länger, ca. 20 Minuten, da wir noch andere Gäste am Einkaufszentrum absetzten. Vom Service des Hotelpersonals waren wir wieder sehr begeistert. Das Personal kannte uns noch vom ersten Mal und fragte immer wieder nach unserem Enkel, der erst eine Woche später mit seinen Eltern zurück flog. Eine solche Freundlichkeit erlebt man selten. Einziger Kritikpunkt war das Abendessen. Bei unserem ersten Aufenthalt hatten wir nur zwei kleine Gerichte bestellt, einen Burger und einen Wrap, die perfekt waren. Dieses Mal hatten wir zwei Hauptgerichte, Lamm und Fisch, die leider nicht unseren Vorstellungen von einem exzellenten Essen entsprachen. Das Essen war aber OK. Aufgrund der Nähe zum Flughafen, dem Hotelkomfort und der Freundlichkeit des Personals würden wir jederzeit wieder in diesem Hotel übernachten.

Gutes Hotel in Flughafennähe
Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Die Zimmer waren bestens. Ein Haarfön befindet sich in der Schublade. Europäische Steckdose ist vorhanden, ebenfalls ein Safe. Vom Fluglärm war nichts zu hören. Am Pool donnerten allerdings die landenden Flugzeuge über die Köpfe. Im kleinen Pool konnte man sich gut erfrischen. Poolbadetücher waren vorhanden. Das ansprechende Fitnessstudio haben wir ebenfalls genutzt. Mittags und Abends haben wir im Hotel gegessen. Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft, was wir in einem Hotel so nicht erwartet hätten. Mittags gab es ein Mittagsbuffet für 175 Rand und Abends à la carte zu günstigem Preis. Das Frühstück bot nicht so viel Auswahl, war aber für den größten Teil unserer 5 köpfigen Familie ausreichend. Um unser Enkelkind von 2 Jahren kümmerte man sich sehr liebevoll. Kinder Essen kostenlos. Wir können dieses Hotel weiter empfehlen.

Ok
Gegen die Zimmer und die Lage (kurze Fahrt mit dem Shuttle) kann man nichts sagen - insofern eine preisgünstige Möglichkeit, wenn man einen Stopover hat. Allerdings ist der Service ziemlich schlecht - sitzt man draußen, muss man sich seine Getränke selbst holen (vor ein paar Jahren gab es im Garten am Pool noch eine Bar), viele Gäste scheinen das Essen von außerhalb zu holen, also hocken dann dort die Leute mit ihren McDonalds Tüten...Das Buffet Abends ist ok, aber wahrlich nichts besonderes.

Businesshotel zur Übernachtung
Wir (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder -> 2 Zimmer) haben dieses Hotel zur Übernachtung vom Interkontinental- zum Domestic-Flight genutzt. Kommunikation per email zuvor war problemlos möglich, daher konnten wir Fehler auf expedia zuvor klären. Abholung vom Flughafen ist vorgesehen und unkompliziert (Minibus mit Anhänger. Bitte an expedia: Angaben korrigieren). Check-in war sehr gut vorbereitet, Frühstück war ansprechend, aber leider nicht im Preis enthalten. Damit ist das Hotel im Vergleich mit Hotels am Flughafen teuer. Auffällig und Befremdlich: Toilettenbürsten gab es keine.

The kitchen/dining staff went above and beyond to please us. The chef made a milk tart special for us because it was our last night in South Africa and we wanted to try this specialty. Linda, William, Granny, and Sihle in the dining room helped make it happen. They were all warm and friendly. Our only request is that the dim lighting be improved in the rooms.

Brilliant property with amazing staff. Just the inability to go shopping that brings it down despite the shopping center being down the road. The neighborhood safety issues are undoubtedly beyond the control of the hotel, which is understandable.

Super place to stay and great price!
I wish I had taken pictures of our stay, because this place is wonderful! Seriously! The food was great—shoutout to the chef—(I’m sorry I can’t find his name I wrote down)—who actually came out himself and clarified details on our order and then checked with us again to see how we enjoyed it. Super sweet guy. And the wait staff was awesome, too. All the staff were helpful and very friendly. The room was nice and the bed very comfortable. We had housekeeping every day which was great because in the States they still don’t want to do that. The shuttle for the airport ran consistently. And the price for this hotel, even when we added breakfast and dinner, was amazing! Can’t brag on this place enough. My husband and I decided we have found our place to stay when we come through Johannesburg.

We enjoyed our stay. The mattress was a little lumpy but the room was fine. . After breakfast and paying our bill at the front the lady asked for a gratuity. I told her I’m giving it to the young lady that cleared our dishes and walked over and found her. I like to give who helps, not the person who rings up my tab

It was a good experience. Price and location fair. Staff very friendly. Hotel seems needs some update but 8- clean. The only thing the restaurant was a bit understaff in the evenings and took a bit on food and drinks.
