We did a stop-over for two nights on our homeway from Adriatic sea.
Sky was pooring all time and therefore we had time to spend at the hotel:
ROOM: the classic wood + red colors aren‘t ours but they were consistant. Bath + Shower with glass-walls open to room but with curtains to hide. Toilette separate but, there should be an active ventilation. Bed quality good. Balcony with mountain view nice. For a 5 * we expected a Nespresso or Illy machine but, there was a water kettle and instant coffee only.
SPA: as mentioned we had enough time to spent here due to weather conditions. It is a great spa with all you expect: indoor + outdoor pool, sole pool outdoor, steam bath, several saunas - one with „Aufguss“ and Christian the sauna master who did a great job, good relxing room, and much more.
RESTAURANTS: there was only Steinberg open - no information for SRA BUA why it is closed. Breakfast is offered as buffet at Steinberg and the quality as well as offer is as good as you expect in a 5*. For dinner you get „modern“ traditional dishes. Those were quite behind our expectaion: for 2 each apperitive, starter and main-course (no other alcohol) we had a bill of 120€ (some 140 US$). Either keeping price and offer more „raffinesse“ or adjust price by -25-30%.
AMBIENCE: Good combination of traditional materials (like wood) and modern design. Nevertheless, we were quite surprised to have soo few guests mid-September to this hotel. So, the general feeling was „cold“.
