Sehr schönes Hotel. Sehr guter Service mit ausserordentlich freundlichem Personal. Con gratulations ich würde dieses Hotel mit 10 von 10 bewerten. Super Lage, 5 Minuten zu Fuss von der Altstadt entfernt. Ausserdem konnten wir den Mietwagen während 4 Tagen gratis parkieren. Dake schön.

Es war uns wichtig, ein kleines persönliches Hotel zu finden. Das Azzahra war genau so, wie wir uns dies gewünscht haben, persönlich und familiär. Auch seine Lage (Araberviertel) ist ideal. Wir würden jederzeit wieder gehen!

Das Positive vorweg: die grosse Terrasse des Zimmers 4, ruhige Lage. Der Receptionist war zuvorkommend. Sonst war alles abgetragen, Einrichtung aus den 80-ern, vor allem das Badezimmer unangenehm muffig, barfuss getraute ich mich nur ins knapp durchschnittlich bequeme Bett, Hotel weitab von allen Sehenswürdigkeiten in einem arabischen Viertel, ohne Taxi kaum erreichbar, die Gegend schreckt von einem abendlichen Spaziergang ab. Für den westlichen Geschmack war das Frühstück zu einseitig östlich, ausser Pitah nur eine andere Sorte Brot. Habe Pech (?) gehabt mit dem Abendessen: Die Lachs-Pizza war nicht heiss und hatte mehr Dill als Fisch und Käse. Das Hotel hat keinen Lift, aber viele Stufen und versprüht keinerlei Charme, alles billig gemacht. Ein winziges illustratives Beispiel: Der Öko-Spruch im Badezimmer kam auf einem A4-Blatt Papier in einer Durchsichtfolie mit Klebestreifen mehrfach an der Wand befestigt daher.

Cozy hotel close to old town
I loved staying at this hotel! Very clean, quiet, staff were all friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great, too. I tried sambousek and kifta, which were both delicious! I also tried Palestinian beer. You can walk to Herod's Gate, bus stop to/from Allenby Bridge, bus terminal to Bethlehem etc. Would stay here again.

Comfortable hotel near Old Jerusalem
I enjoyed staying at this hotel which was both comfortable and in a great location. I could walk to see many sites in or near Old Jerusalem. The staff was helpful in arranging taxis or an airport shuttle when needed.

We stayed at this hotel for a total of 5 nights and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The rooms and hotel are super clean and the staff is very friendly. They also have a restaurant with excellent food. The hotel is at a walking distance to many shops and the old city.

It is also important to note that the reason of your stay was to refresh your memory after sixty years from your first stay at the Azzahra.However,it is very surprising to read your comment about the elevator especially that you came to the Azzahra Hotel whilst you know that you will be staying in a heritage building with lots of history and more than 120 years old.

Nice hotel with thick walls and high ceiling. Tried also the restaurant which offer nice local food. Just make sure you ask for no smoking area. Very helpful at the reception for any information you need. Short walking from old Jerusalem gate. I'd recommend it

I believe that you should have been more transparent to the readers and should have mentioned all the positives rather than what you've mentioned.It started from the day of your arrival when you reached the hotel completely wet as it was raining heavily on that day and in order to help you ;we had to switch rooms to let you check-in earlier to your room to be able to change your wet clothes. We also helped you with your luggage to your room. On your way down, you were given an umbrella for free as you were going to the Old city and specifically to Al Aqsa Mosque which is around 15 minutes walk while it was still raining.It is important to note to our guests that the Azzahra Hotel building is more than 120 years old, so the authenticity of the building is well kept with all its original characters.Finally, on your Check-Out date , you came back from the Old city after the check-out time by more than 90 minutes and you were still not charged for that.Unfortunately, it is very disappointing when it turns out that people are not appreciative despite of all what was given to them.

L'établissement est caché dans une ruelle. Mais refait à neuf. Les chambres sont ok. Le petit déjeuner est très correct. L'hôtel a aussi un restaurant. La nourriture est délicieuse. Le personnel est agréable, souriant, toujours prêt à rendre service. L'hôtel est à à peine 7 minutes de marche de la vieille ville(Herod's Gate). Possibilité d'un paking pas loin

An engaging small hotel in renovated Ottoman-period mansion away from the highly touristic West Jerusalem. Easy walking distance to the Old City (Damascus Gate) and good public transportation (light rail, bus, taxis). The rooms clean and comfortable. An excellent breakfast buffet and wonderful restaurant with delicious Palestinian specialties as well as international cuisine.

Dobra baza wypadowa do zwiedzania Jerozolimy.
Hotel świetnie położony w pobliżu starej Jerozolimy. Pokój świeżo po remoncie,czyściutko,przyjemnie.Dobrze działający internet. Na minus natomiast zasługują serwowane śniadania. Jak na Izrael to raczej skromna oferta. Ogólnie jednak polecam ten hotel.

This hotel is not good. Room was clean but air-conditioning didn't work and it was cold and couldn't sleep. The staff promised that they would fix it, but the air conditioner was not fixed the next day. On the third day I couldn't patience and left the hotel. I found a cheap, spacious, air-conditioned hotel nearby. I should have stay in Holyland continuously from the beginning. Jerusalem's sightseeing is great, but if the hotel is bad, the trip to Israel will be spoiled. Be careful because room 115 is cold. Another important thing. Hotel Wi-Fi was cut off on the Sabbath.

Thank you for choosing Azzahra Hotel to stay at, but it would have been greatly appreciated if you were more transparent and explained the whole story for the readers to know the facts rather than putting misleading information. I am not sure Mr.Shigeaki that you were aware when you've made your reservation at the Non-Refundable rate that it cannot be changed, modified or cancelled but this was the status of your reservation. As your friends were staying at a nearby hotel and you wanted to stay with them,so from the first minute that you arrived to the hotel you've inquired if you could cancel your reservation without a penalty fee in order to join them; and of course that was not possible especially that it was made through Hotel.com and not directly with the hotel. Accordingly, you've proposed to stay the first night and cancel the following two nights without any cancellation fees; and you threatened the receptionist that otherwise you would write a bad review; and which you did ! We would have really appreciated addressing your comments concerning the heating unit during your stay with us as we could have acted accordingly,but you did not mention anything whilst your stay. It is very important to note that all our rooms have been newly renovated and it is surprising for us to know that the new heating unit was not working, especially that it was occupied the day before and there was no complain. Finally, when you decided to check-out a day before your check-out date, you said that it was due to a change in your flight. Last of all,not mentioning that we always get positive feedback regarding our quick and easy check-in, clean and modern rooms as well as our great service and authentic atmosphere.

Pleasant stay
The best part about this place is the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. My room was quite small, there was no where other than the bed I could lay my suitcase open. This wasn’t a big deal. The room was very clean and there was hot water in the shower. The restaurant attached to the hotel is pretty good. I was the only one staying in the hotel and they made a special breakfast for me. The only downside to this place is it was a bit hard to find. One cab driver refused to take me to this location and the one I did find wouldn’t drive me all the way there. I managed to find the place stopping to ask for directions a few times. Once I figured me way to the old city it wasn’t a bad location.

Quiet, updated hotel, convenient to walled city.
Hotel just completed remodel so rooms and bathrooms are modern and clean. Great air con in the room. Located within minutes walking distance to the walled old city. Buffet breakfast with omelette station, fresh bread and lots of variety. Helpful front desk staff.

Cuartos muy limpios y bonitos
Cuartos hermosos por dentro combinados en piedra y modernidad, por fuera el hotel se ve viejo y acabado , pero me sorprendí cunado Vi la habitación muy bonita , y baño limpio y amplio no hay nada de ruido y eso que fuimos en la temporada más alta en Sukkot , a 3 cuadras de la puerta de Herodes sin lugar a duda un cuarto de 4.5 estrellas, lo único malo es que el barrio en el que esta es uno de los más sucios de Jerusalén.

On the Expedia page it says this hotel has free parking ,laundry ,wifi and tv and none of the above was present over our two night stay . The hotel has a restaurant that closed early the second night we were there also . If it weren’t for the extremely friendly staff I would have left and booked another room .

Thank you for staying with us, but we wish that you had informed us about your comments while you're staying with us as we could have helped you better. It is important to note that the hotel has a limited free parking space ,so it needed to be previously reserved which you haven't done .The laundry is a service that we offer with a surcharge. On the other hand,all our rooms have been newly renovated and so all the furniture including the TV's are new but probably you did not follow the correct instructions to put it on and you haven't asked for any help . Also, you must have realized that our restaurant is one of the most popular in the area and reservation is requested but it doesn't close before 23:00. Unfortunately you did not make a reservation and it was fully booked on that day . We always look forward to be of great help to our guests, and we would be looking forward into welcoming you again in any future trip to Jerusalem.

Decent hotel. Quite dated and could use a good cleaning. The sheets/bedding were old and the bathroom wasn’t clean. Otherwise, if you are only passing through a night or two it’s fine. The only other downside is that it’s a 15- 20 minute walk away from the main area of Jerusalem.

Thank you for staying with us. We are sorry that you were not able to stay in the newly renovated rooms, as they were all occupied for the period of your stay. We will be finishing our second stage of the renovation in August, so we would be looking forward into welcoming you again in our newly designed rooms in any future trip to Jerusalem.On the other hand, it seems that you've taken the wrong way to get to the old city, because we are located only within 5-7 minutes walking.

I only stayed 1 night, but had a pleasant stay. Would recommend and will probably come back later. Very helpful staff. Also has a good restaurant.

The Assahra Hotel is located perfectly near the Old City. The room was excellent being newly renovated. The TV was difficult to operate being done so on cable by two remotes- directions need to be included in the room. Staff quickly instructed me, however. Breakfast and dinner was very good; however, dinner chicken and beef were dry. Rm was very quiet. Staff was very helpful. I would strongly recommend this hotel to others and stay there again myself. They lived up to their high ratings.
