Schönes Haus, kleinere Probleme, hohe Zusatzkost
Der Gesamteindruck des Hauses ist prima, die Vermieter und die Agentur sehr nett. Das Haus als auch die Einrichtung sowie die Ausstattung sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, sodass beispielsweise einige Glühbirnen kaputt sind, eine Herdplatte nicht ging, der Kühlschrank anfangs kein Eis machte und die Plastikfächer im Kühlschrank kaputt sind. Das Hoftor konnte nur manuell bedient werden da die Torelektrik defekt war und auch während unseres Aufenthaltes nicht repariert werden konnte. Die Kaffeemaschine war defekt, eine Toilette kaputt und er Pool schmutzig und mit Leguankot verschmutzt. Da es nur Klimaanlagen im Schlafzimmer gab, war es in den übrigen Bereichen des Hauses unterträglich heiss. Wir hatten alles der lokalen Agentur gemeldet aber einiges konnte nicht gelöst werden. Alles in allem aber trotzdem ein schönes Anwesen. Bei 7 Personen zahlt man allerdings bei 12 Nöchten wenn nur Nachts die Klimaanlage (teilweise) läuft knapp €300 an Stromkosten nach also Achtung beim Stromverbrauch! Es bibt unzählige Moskitos im und um das Anwesen also gut mit Moskitospray ausrüsten. Ohne geht auch tagsüber leider nicht. Supermarkt (sehr teuer) um die Ecke. Für frische Brötchen und Brot aber prima.

Hallo Norman, vielen Dank für die Bewertung. Gerne nehme ich zu den aufgeführten Punkten Stellung: 1. Strom-Zusatzkosten Der Zusatzverbrauch für Strom belief sich bei Eurer individuellen Nutzung auf ca. 2,80 € pro Person und Nacht. Der Strom auf Curacao ist sehr teuer (über 0,40 €/kWh). Der Mietpreis beinhaltet den laufenden Stromverbrauch der elektrischen Geräte des Hauses. Die individuelle Nutzung der Klimaanlagen durch die Gäste bestimmt somit den Gesamtverbrauch. 2. Haus in die Jahre gekommen Wir haben das Haus im Jahr 2016 gekauft, vollständig renoviert und halten es seit dem immer auf Stand. Defekte Glühbirnen müssen sofort ersetzt werden. Das werden wir mit unserer Hausverwaltung klären und schnell verbessern. Herdplatten und Icemaker funktionieren einwandfrei, die Bedienung ist jedoch nicht selbsterklärend. Die untere Plastikhalterung in der Kühlschranktür eines Kühlschranks (zwei große Kühlschränke vorhanden) ist aufgrund zu hohen Gewichtes im Fach ausgebrochen und wird ersetzt. Das Hoftor funktioniert seit 2016 und in den ersten Tagen Eurers Aufenthaltes einwandfrei. Der elektrische Antrieb fiel dann leider aus und muss nun erneuert werden. Bis dahin kann das Hoftor einfach manuell geöffnet und geschlossen werden. Es sind zwei Senseo-Kaffeemaschinen vorhanden. Das eine Maschine defekt ist, war nicht bekannt und wird sofort ausgewechselt. Eine von 6 Toilettenspülungen lief nach Betätigung des Schalters nach und wurde sofort repariert. 3. Pool Der Pool verfügt über glasklares Wasser welches permanent gefiltert, gemessen und gesteuert wird. Die vollautomatische Pollfilteranlage auf Elektorlysebasis reinigt das Wasser kontinuierlich und sorgt zu jeder Zeit für sanftes und reines Wasser (keine roten Augen, keine Ohrenentzündungen etc.). Die auf der Insel lebenden Leguane setzen Ihr Geschäft mit Vorliebe auf die Außenränder des Pooldecks (nicht in den Pool). Das ist leider nicht zu verhindern, jedoch mit dem dort befindlichen Wasserschlauch einfach zu entfernen. 4. Unerträglich heiß Das Haus liegt perfekt im Wind. Das bedeutet, dass durch vollständiges öffnen der Fenster und Türen ein leichter Durchzug und sehr angenehmes Klima im Haus entsteht. Dadurch werden die Moskitos übrigens auch auch aus dem Haus verweht. Alle Fenster und Türen sind extra bautechnisch so vorgesehen, dass diese für die natürliche Belüftung feststelbar sind. Wir waren im März 2019 in dieser wunderbaren Villa. Der Service war super; sehr netter Empfang und wir hatten sehr große Erwartungen; diese wurden zu 100 % erfüllt. Saubere und moderne Villa mit hochwertiger Einrichtung und sehr guter Küchenausstattung. Der Außenbereich ist perfekt, man kann zu jeder Tageszeit entweder die Sonne genießen oder den Schatten suchen; es ist ausreichend Platz und der Pool ist super; tolle Wasserqualität und sehr gepflegt. Die Lage der Villa ist ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswert; man ist innerhalb von 3 Minuten am Supermarkt und in ca. 5 Minuten am Strand. Es gibt gute Restaurants in der Nähe und mit einem Mietwagen ist eh alles sehr schnell und gut erreichbar. Wir hatten die gesamte Villa gemietet (mit 5 Personen) und ich kann jedem nur dieses Domizil ans Herz legen. Ich würde die Villa Vista jederzeit wieder buchen.

Superschöne Villa mit allem Komfort, viel Privatsphäre und toller Lage
Wir durften in der Villa Vista Curaçao insgesamt 2 Wochen verbringen und haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Die Betreuung durch Nicole vor den Ferien und anschliessend vor Ort durch Manon war super. Die Villa bietet alles, was man für einen Traumurlaub braucht. Sie liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe vom angesagten Jan Thiel Beach mit vielen Beach Bars und Restaurants. Ein Supermarkt ist zu Fuss in ca. 3-4 Minuten erreichbar und bietet alles, was man so für den Tagesbedarf benötigt (Öffnungzeiten: Mo-So, jeweils von 8-21 Uhr). Der Zutritt zum „Hausstrand“ Jan Thiel ist kostenpflichtig (Liegen kosten dann nochmals extra), was wir etwas schade fanden, da wir gerne ab und zu nur etwas trinken oder kurz ins Meer hüpfen wollten. Ab 16 Uhr ist dann der Eintritt frei. Insgesamt fanden wir es aber nicht so schlimm, da wir ohnehin meistens mit dem Mietauto an andere Strände gefahren sind, die zwar dann oft auch etwas gekostet haben, aber um einiges schöner und nicht so eng mit Liegestühlen besetzt waren. Vom Jan Thiel Beach aus kann man übrigens direkt einen Katamaran-Trip auf Klein-Curaçao machen - muss man unbedingt erlebt haben (der Katamaran fährt aber meist mit Motor, also kein typischer Segelausflug)! Die Crew auf dem Schiff war spitze und wir wurden rundherum verwöhnt mit feinem Essen und guten Drinks. Man sollte jedoch einigermassen seetüchtig sein, da die Hinfahrt gegen den Wind geht und es dadurch ziemlich schaukelt. Die Rückfahrt war dann deutlich entspannter. Auf Klein-Curaçao kann man mit Schildkröten schwimmen...wir hatten sogar zweimal das Glück...war ein tolles Erlebnis, diese schönen Tiere so nah zu erleben. Insgesamt haben wir zwei traumhafte Wochen verbracht, die uns noch lange in sehr guter Erinnerung bleiben werden. Wir können diese Villa jedem, der einen Traumurlaub in der Karibik plant, wärmstens empfehlen.

Wir haben im Oktober dort mit der Familie einen tollen zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt gehabt; für uns gab es nichts auszusetzen; am/im Haus ist alles vorhanden was man für einen Sonnenurlaub braucht. Gut ist auch die Nähe zum Jan-Thiel-Beach mit guten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Bars, Restaurants, bewirtetem Strand etc. ...wir werden wieder kommen !

Top Villa in bester Lage und Nähe zum Strand
Von hier aus kann der Urlauber mit dem Mietwagen perfekt die Insel und die tollen Strände erkunden. Der Jan Thiel Hausstrand mit den Restaurants und dem Supermarkt ist in unmittelbarer Nähe zu Fuß sehr gut zu erreichen. Wir haben uns mit zwei Familien in der ganzen Villa Vista sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten dort sehr gut relaxen und den Urlaub genießen bei tollen karibischen Wetterbedingungen.

Zwei Wochen im Paradies
Wir waren begeistert von der sehr schönen Villa. Die obere Etage bietet eine sehr schöne Terrasse mit Meerblick. Es stehen zwei bequeme Sessel und ein schöner Terrassentisch fuer gemütliche Stunden und Essen bereit. Eine gut ausgestattete Küche bietet die Möglichkeit zum.kochen. Beide Wohnungen bieten viel Platz und sind geschmackvoll und gemütlich mit viel LIebe zum Detail eingerichtet. In der unteren Wohnung gibt es mehrere gemütliche Entspannungsmövel, eine wunderbare mit tollen Couches eingerichtete Lounge. Der schöne grosse und tiefe Pool wird mit einer Salzanlage betrieben,was das Baden und relaxen ohne lästige rote Augen und Chlorgeruch möglich macht. Wir haben zwei wundervolle Wochen im kleinen Paradies verbracht. Das Gebiet um Jan Thiel Beach ist sehr gepflegt und bietet sehr komfortable Bade und Shoppingmöglichkeiten. Die Restaurants sind alle sehr zu empfehlen.

Absolutely perfect location
The property really was great. The proximity to the beach and the wonderful pool were great. I would stay here again, and I will also give 2 opportunities for improvement. 1. The top drawer of the downstairs dishwasher does not operate correctly, fixing this will help future visitors. 2. The check in process could be improved. When we called from the road to say we were on the highway, we were asked how far away we were. We have never been to the island before, we were not using GPS, we had no idea how far away we were. Secondly, as we checked in, we were tired, hungry and very hot, we were told we could open the doors/windows to cool down the house, but were warned that the mosquitos were REALLY bad and were making people sick. So hearing this in the first 10 minutes of getting to the house, we thought, great, we will either be hot or bitten up by mosquitos and sick. We found that the mosquitos were not a problem at all after we had been there a few days.

A great place to stay
Just returned from a 2 week stay at Villa Vista. We highly recommend this spacious, well-appointed villa. It offers many different spaces perfect for the different times of day. Our favorite was the upper deck where we enjoyed spectacular sunsets every evening while sipping on champagne. With 4 ensuite bedrooms, everyone has their own privacy when needed. The pool is a good size and a comfortable temperature with ample sitting /lounging options. The whole place was clean and well-kept. Our host Joe was responsive to enquiries and easy to deal with. One of the best aspects of the rental is the wonderful management team. They were extremely helpful and patient with our questions and requests. They were prompt and efficient with both check-in and check out. This villa is ideally located a quick walk to a supermarket, car rental places, bars, restaurants, hiking spots and a great beach in Jan Thiel. The beach has good amenities and good snorkelling.The area seemed very safe and was quiet. It is important for anyone coming to the area of Jan Thiel to have a vehicle. It is a great area, but a longish drive into Willemstad and far from most of the island's other sites. Overall, it was a wonderful choice and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Excellent communication and responsiveness by owner and manager throughout the process. The house was as advertised -- vey nice, clean, conveniently located to Jan Thiel Beach and its restaurants and market. And all at a reasonable price. The one thing I would note, though, and this has been raised in other reviews, is that while there are individual air conditioners in each bedroom, even in January, the living areas could be quite hot and muggy, with little help from the ceiling fans. This setup may be typical for high-end rental homes in Curacao, but, especially as the electricity use monitored and (over a certain level) charged to renters, I would really urge the owner to pop air conditioners into the main living spaces and let people choose how much power they are willing to pay for. Otherwise, all was excellent.

Dear Ed, thank you so much for the review. As you mentioned, all bedrooms and bathrooms has Airco. The other rooms in the Villa do no need it, if you open all doors and windows. The constant breeze will give an very good natural climate in the entire Villa during the day. Therefore all doors and windows have special holders, that they can stay open. Only during the night, when the doors and windows are closed, an Airco is helpful and exists in all bedrooms. Thanks again and hope to welcome you again to test it. My best Joe

Stayed there with friends/family . Property was exactly as described and pictured. Staff was extremely helpful and very responsive. They did update the bathrooms floor was just a little slippery when wet. Stores and beach as described. Definitely will make it back there. Everything about our stay here was fabulous! The house was great, location is fantastic and the management team was very professional and responsive! Only one recommendation would be a device in the pool so any wild animals that might fall in don’t drown. I saved a couple! You do need to buy everything you’ll need for bar soap to laundry soap but the grocery store nearby makes that easy. We will be back for sure and will seek out this property once again!

This VRBO was excellent! It was just the right fit for a girls getaway trip. The amenities were top notch. Pool was refreshing and relaxing. Loved that each room had a private full bathroom. Terrific choice in Curacao
This house was a perfect choice for our family of four while staying in Curacao. An easy, 5 min walk to the beach, grocery store, and restaurants, the location can’t be beat in Jan Thiel. The property is beautiful (the pictures don’t do it justice) and has extremely high security (house alarm, locked exterior gate, and neighborhood security that drives around 24 hours/day). The house is spacious and offers three outdoor living areas and two hammocks. The beds are comfortable, the kitchens are well equipped, and it’s very clean. The AC cools the bedrooms quickly. The owners and management company were responsive, kind, and very welcoming. I highly recommend this rental for your stay in Curacao!

Mooie villa en plek voor een superrelaxte vakantie op Curaçao!
We hebben 12 heerlijke dagen gehad in deze mooie villa die werkelijk van alle gemakken voorzien is. De locatie is ook perfect, een paar minuutjes lopen van Jan Thiel beach. Het contact met Pink Beheer was heel goed, er werd meteen op onze vragen gereageerd en niets was teveel gevraagd. Kortom: een aanrader!!

Overall, great house, wonderful lay out, and fantastic location. The only concern is that they charge for added electric to run air conditioners in the bedrooms, but there are not screens on any of the doors or windows (nor fans in the bedrooms), making leaving the house open at night to use the cool winds difficult due to insect bite risk (during the day, was enough breeze could leave the house open).

Geweldig vakantiehuis!
We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad van 3 weken. Samen met mijn man, en zoon van 7 hebben Wij genoten van Curaçao en dit heerlijke huis. Het is van alle gemakken voorzien. Veel schone handdoeken en badlakens. Heb je even zin om een dagje thuis te blijven, dan is dat absoluut geen straf! Een heerlijk groot zwembad, genoeg ligstoelen… echt een aanrader. De communicatie is snel en goed. Je krijgt direct antwoord via de app of telefoon. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug

A Wonderful Family Accommodation!
We are a family of six and found this property to be highly functional and comfortable. It is perfectly situated within easy walking distance to the beach, a host restaurants and eateries nestled along the beachfront, and a Dutch grocery with fresh food and baked goods. The property was a great place to kick our feet up, enjoy the sun, the ocean breeze, and completely decompress under beautiful sunsets. Very clean and safe! The only challenge we had was being able to interpret the details associated with our stay when it comes to utility usage and check-in voicemail as they were in Dutch. The local property manager was very friendly and responsive. We look to rebook again in the future and therefore highly recommend this property when looking to experience Curacao!

Heerlijk verblijf in prachtige villa op Curaçao
Het huis is fantastisch en van alle gemakken voorzien en ligt in de veilige buurt Jan Thiel. Het ontvangst door het verhuurbureau was perfect geregeld. Gezien de vertraging van de vlucht hadden ze zelf boodschappen voor ons geregeld ( tegen betaling) die klaar stonden in de koelkast. De kinderen hebben genoten van het zwembad! Enige minpuntje is dat sommige dingen in het huis wat aandacht mogen krijgen, zoals schimmel in sommige keukenkastjes, paar kapotte stoelen en de schoonheid van de stoelen buiten. Maar niets wat de vakantiepret kon drukken.

Ideal for a family
The property is new, clean and in a safe neighbourhood. We could walk to the very nice grocery store, bars and restaurants at the Papagayo beach, and we had close proximity to the marina. We cooked dinner most nights including using the gas grill. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to make meals for our group of seven. We also shopped at the floating market to buy fresh caught fish to prepare on the grill. We were unable to hire a car from the airport (lack of availability), but no problem as the villa owners had a truck available on property we could hire and they put us in touch with a terrific airport taxi service. Coming from America, we were also required to have a covid test on day 3 - again the villa owners came through with information on the place to go which we could walk to (and we had to book this in advance so we never would have known the option otherwise). A main reason for our trip was to enjoy the diving and the villa owners put us in touch with a dive shop just around the corner (Scuba Do) which we highly recommend. After diving, there was plenty of outside space at the villa to dry our gear. The bedrooms had air condition which was comfortable for us to use to sleep at night. Even in late November it was very hot on the island. We spent most of our time on the patios outside where it was cooler in the evenings. Lastly, the property manager was extremely responsive through WhatsApp and they are located a short walk from the property.

My group of 8 adults stayed here and loved it. Highlights: - Super easy check in process - Very clean and well equipped - Lots of space - Secure - Beautiful pool - Great location, few mins walk from the supermarket and jan thiel beach - Property manager responds instantly and resolves any issues we had Improvement areas: - As per the listing, no AC in living areas - TVs could be bigger - Flyscreens on the doors / windows so they can be opened without mosquitoes coming in All in all, amazing place to stay and would gladly stay again. Thanks Nicole and Ninke for all of your help :)

Gorgeous house in perfect location
Owners were very easy to work with and very responsive throughout the whole process. The house manager took care of everything we needed while we were there and responded very quickly to WhatsApp. We loved the house. Everything was very clean and just as pictured on the website. House was safe and secure. Truck rental worked well. Fabulous taxi service from the airport Dushi taxi. Short walk to grocery store the beach, shops, safe neighborhood. Beautiful sunsets from upper porch. We only wished we could have stayed longer but the coronavirus pandemic stood in our way. Would love to go back some day!

A Wonderful Month!
We really enjoyed our stay at your home. It suited us perfectly. During the time that we were there, we used all four bedrooms for when our adult children visited and at other times it was just the 3 of us. We ate at home most evenings and the kitchen had everything we wanted. Having a washing machine on site was a real plus. The wifi was robust for those of us who had to stay in touch with home and work which was really great. We would recommend this house to anyone who wants a bit of space both indoor and out. Manon, the property manager was excellent. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

Peaceful and relaxed vacation!
We loved our stay at Jan Thiel and Villa Vista. The pool was so delightful and there was plenty of privacy in what is becoming a very busy neighborhood! We enjoyed walking to Papagayo Beach and watching the sunset each night on the porch. ‘Iggy’ the Iguana, a resident at VillaVista was so interesting to watch each day as he sunned himself by the pool and the beautiful NewWorldOriole birds flew in for breakfast each morning. Definitly felt like we were in a tropical paradise. Our 5th time to Curaçao and we will be back!

Uitstekend verblijf
Echt een prima huis met lekkere tuin en zwembad. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Prima centrale ligging. Gezellig strand met eettentjes, supermarkt en Italiaanse ijssalon op loopafstand. Hebben wel airco in de woonkamer gemist. De fan in de woonkamer heb je namelijk maar weinig aan.

Beyond my exceptions.
This was our first time to rent a home in a foreign country and I am so glad I did. The house is very well taken care of. The house is a real quick walk to the grocery store and the beach. Jan Thiel beach is very beautiful. We went swimming and snorkeling very often there. We saw a lot of fish while snorkeling. The waters are clear, calm, and beautiful. I highly recommend renting a car because you will want to see the island as much as possible. You will need to rent a car with GPS. I was also very happy to see a couple iguanas come by the pool (never in the pool). My overall experience in Curacao was fantastic. It felt very safe.

Fabulous, just as the pictures show
The villa was perfect, spotlessly clean and with everything you could possibly need for a great vacation. Including comfortable beds, good showers and lots of kitchen equipment. Great location, 2 minutes walk from the beach and a range of restaurants, bars and a supermarket or 15 minutes walk to Spanish Waters with more restaurants. Plenty to do in the local area with kayaks, SUP's, some nice walks and easy to get to the tug boat dive/snorkel site. The location of the house itself was quite and peaceful, it felt very safe. All in all a really lovely villa which we would recommend and come back to.

Great house and location
There were 6 people in the house, two married couples and two singles. Both couples stayed in the upper level and the singles stayed in the lower level. Ideal arrangement. With six bathrooms there is no waiting. We did some cooking and the kitchens were equipped with all the essentials. The Palapalounge and the covered patio were wonderful for kicking back with a good book. We are not beach people and did not use the pool or go to the beach. If you want a nice sandy beach, its a five minute walk. Also at the beach is the Van Den Twell grocery store which has a nice, variety of groceries. The Luna Park grocery is a ten minute drive. Other groceries available are Goisco (our favorite), and Best buy. There are three or four restaurants at the beach if you do not want to cook. Bella Italia has excellent pizza & gelato. The six of us had no complaints and highly recommend Top Villa.
