"Insgesamt ist das Hilton in Cartagena deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Das Personal aber war immer freundlich und sprach gutes Englisch. Unser Zimmer war ausreichend groß. Leider wurde während unseres Aufenthaltes der größte Pool renoviert. Dies war mit Baulärm deutlich zu hören. Das Essen war gut. Aber das Ambiente im Restaurant nicht. Weshalb wir eher den Room Service nutzten. Das Frühstücksbuffet war enttäuschend und vom Preis sehr überzogen. Wir haben deshalb nicht im Hotel gefrühstückt."

"¡Una estadía sencillamente increíble! El lugar perfecto para desconectar y disfrutar. Primero que todo, hay que destacar el trabajo de Fabio, quien es el alma y el capitán del hotel. Sin duda, el mejor anfitrión que hemos tenido. Estuvo pendiente de nosotros en todo momento y hasta nos sorprendió con un upgrade de habitación. Su nivel de atención es de otro nivel: el día que nos íbamos a las 6:30 a. m., se encargó personalmente de buscarnos y gestionarnos la lancha temprana que necesitábamos para que saliéramos a tiempo y sin contratiempos. El hotel cuenta con todo lo necesario para una estadía cómoda y la comida muy buena. Es el espacio ideal si buscas relajarte y desconectarte del mundo. Además, es un enorme plus que incluyan actividades gratuitas como kayak, esnórquel y el tour de bioluminiscencia, lo que hace que la experiencia sea aún más completa. Lo recomiendo al 100%. ¡Volvería sin dudarlo!"

"While Sofitel Barú Cartagena has a beautiful location, clean beaches, comfortable rooms, and a large resort complex, several aspects of our stay were disappointing and prevented us from having the luxury experience we expected from the Sofitel brand. The biggest issue was the complete lack of a proper welcome experience. We arrived around 1 a.m. and received no welcome drink, water, fruit arrangement, room introduction. We were simply given the key and left on our own. This was particularly surprising because we have experienced much higher standards at other Sofitel properties, including Sofitel Bogotá. Another major disappointment was the beach experience. Throughout our stay, local vendors were allowed to approach guests daily with tours, products, and various offers. While some were polite, many were persistent and repeatedly interrupted our relaxation. A luxury resort should provide guests with a peaceful environment without constant solicitation. Beach service was also below expectations. Only small glasses of water were provided, whereas other luxury resorts we have visited typically offer bottled water throughout the day. The departure experience was equally disappointing. Check-out felt impersonal, with no farewell gesture, no bottled water for the journey, and no effort to leave a lasting positive impression. The resort is beautiful, the staff is generally friendly and hardworking, and the beaches and rooms are very clean. However the lack of personalized service, a"
