Good place to stay for a reasonable price
If they would work a bit more on they friendlyness and give you a bit more the feeling of realy be welcome, it will be a perfect place. Verry well renovated and decorated, the Rooms where clean and anything looks like it's first time used. The meal we had in the Restaurant in the evening was good, Service there was realy friendly!

Sehr süß das Hotel, wenn man es denn so bezeichnen kann. Für jüngere Leute Aufjedenfall in Ordnung. Für die etwas älteren vielleicht nicht so ganz das beste Ambiente.

The Pub 500 yards up the road has the same name which is a bit confusing when you are looking for the Guest House. Overall good standard. I do like my shower to have a bit more force. Meet and greet was in-depth explaining all you needed to know.

Very helpful staff and perfect room
Forest of all, we received a reminder message few day before our stay, that was perfect. Secondly we were late check in but staff (Kelly?) was very kind to help us to get a room key and hotel direction etc. Room is perfect for family with 2 kids.

Highly recommended.
Excellent - comfortable with friendly, helpful service, Very good choice at breakfast. Close to bus routes into Town and railway station. All in all a very good experience.

Lovely place
The place and service was great as usual, the only thing I didn't like was that the heating stoped from 11pm to 6.30am and I felt cold as it was really cold outside. Hopefully it will get solved out.

Nice stay at the Old Times GH
Very convenient for our family visit. Its a converted old street corner pub and the bar is a nice added extra. Breakfasts were excellent and large! Very friendly and helpful landlady. Wifi was not too good and kept dropping out but perhaps our room - in the furthest corner was unusual.

Was comfortable, but we stayed in "George's" room which was at the front of the upper floor and the road noise was noticeable, I would recommend asking for one of the rooms further in the back.

First visit to Ipswich. Kelly was very helpful, a very good host and a provider of an excellent breakfast which we were able to enjoy in a cheerful and private outside eating area. The evening meal menu looked good, although as we were attending a family wedding, we did not try it. The room was bright, clean and comfortable with a large en-suite shower room. Will happily stay again

Great little guesthouse
Room was very clean, great bathroom,comfy bed with crisp clean sheets. Location is on a crossroads so was a little noisy in the early evening and morning. Overall very pleased with the guesthouse and would stop again.

Quite pleasant.
We stayed in Ipswich primarily to be close to the coast. Our guest house was only a 5-10 minute walk to the neighborhood rail stop (Derby Rd.) which got us to Felixstowe in about 10-12 minutes. The Inn was quite clean and the beds were comfortable. The proprietress was very friendly and helpful and the little bar downstairs was a nice touch. These would be excellent rooms for families as they have various configurations. Would stay again though we're not likely to return to Ipswich.

A most wonderful stay.
Extremly cosy and friendly place. The rooms were in tip top condition and the breakfast top notch. The manager was very accomodating and even helped us catch the train, by driving us to the station herself, when we couldnt get a taxi. Would highly recommend a stay here when visisting Ipswich.

Need my own space.....
As I only stayed the one night, there is not much I can write, except, that from the first moment I walked into the place I felt at home, the owner a delight to talk to, and the staff as pleasant as you would want. I did not go to far from the dwelling, and cannot say if the surrounding area had enough to keep one entertained. Absolutely no problem in returning, and staying longer if the situation arose.

We planned to have power showers however they are to juicy for our electric in put to the building. I continue my search for the best shower head to increase my water pressure.

The Old Times Guest House var en god opplevelse. Det knytter seg fort litt spenning til å overnatte på små og lite omtalte steder. Men dette ble en positiv opplevelse, med god service, rene og nyoppussede rom. Gjestehuset oser av ekte engelsk sjarm. Ingen luksus men virkelig en god opplevelse. Takk for oppholdet, vi ses igjen.
