„We live in Edinburgh but had to book somewhere to stay while we were having work done at our house and Sycamore Cottage was perfect for four of us. The bedrooms are really spacious and the kitchen is really well equipped which isn’t always the case in self catering accommodation. We didn’t think we’d need to use the log burner but a typical Scottish spring meant we used it a few nights and there was plenty of logs left for it. Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. „Full of anticipation we started our journey to Gorebridge. The driveway to the cottage is absolutely beautiful. The cottage itself has a cozy vintage look in a quiet location. „Ideal location with charming village area nearby. Easy walk to local pub and to the water. Flat was spacious and well equipped; but could have used a bit more maintenance and some air freshener (near the sea, so a bit of a damp, musty smell). It was a bit farther from central Edinburg (~40 min) than I had expected; but the quaint village feel of the area was well worth the few extra minutes drive. All in all a nice place to support local sight seeing and day trips.“

„Sehr saubere, große und ruhig gelegene Zimmer mit kleiner Küchenzeile und einem wirklich sehr großen (behindertengerechten) Badezimmer. Fast alle Sehenswürdigkeiten Edinburghs sind von dem Hotel aus zu Fuß erreichbar. Viele gute Restaurants und Cafés in der Umgebung. Zum Flughafen fährt man mit dem Auto ca 30 Min. Einzig die Aussicht war bei unserem Zimmer nicht so schön, aber da man eh nur zum schlafen im Hotel ist, war das kein großes Problem ;) “
