Built in 1915 and carefully restored before reopening in 2024, Villa Otokar combines the character of traditional Slovenian architecture with the comfort and refinement of a contemporary luxury retreat.

Original charm has been preserved while every detail has been thoughtfully adapted for modern living.

Villa Otokar was created for shared moments.

Generous interiors, spacious bedrooms and inviting communal areas give up to 14 guests plenty of room to gather — and just as importantly, plenty of space to retreat when they want a little peace and quiet.

Large windows bring the surrounding countryside indoors, framing views of the orchard, meadows and forest throughout the day.

And in the morning, there are few better places to enjoy your first coffee than the upper terrace, watching the countryside slowly wake while the swimming pool glistens below.

Within approximately 20 minutes, you can reach the Adriatic coast and the elegant seaside towns of Opatija, Ičići and Lovran — perfect for swimming, waterfront lunches and long evenings by the sea.

A little farther away, unforgettable day trips await: the extraordinary Škocjan Caves, dramatic Predjama Castle, and the cafés, architecture and Italian atmosphere of Trieste.

And some days, there is no reason to drive anywhere.

Step outside the villa and discover quiet country roads, forest trails and beautiful routes for walking and cycling. The nearby village of Dolenje pri Jelšanah is only a short stroll away.
