We had a cool stay at this hotel. The hotel itself is very nice. Stylish and trendy interior and well equipped. The only drawback was that it is close to a main street and the noise isolation is not very good. Therefore, the street noise was a bit loud.

Tolles Hotel abseits des Trubels
Sehr gutes Hotel im Süsen von Hongkong Island mit der Bahnstation 5 min. die Straße runter. Modern eingerichtete Zimmer, die keine Wünsche offen lassen und sehr gutes Frühstück.

Stylisch und cool, dafür etwas abgelegen
Hong Kong ist nicht ganz billig. Das Ovolo Southside war zur Zeit der Buchung das beste Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis (wenn man in Kauf nimmt, dass man extra Zeit/Kosten aufwenden muss, um ins Zentrum zu gelangen - zumindest so lange, die U-Bahn im Süden noch nicht fertiggestellt ist). Mit dem Bus dauert die Fahrt nach Hong Kong etwa 30-40 Minuten, kostet dafür kaum etwas. Mit dem Taxi dauert die Fahrt ca. 10 Minuten (ohne Verkehr) und kostet ca. 80 Dollar. Abgesehen von der Lage ist das Hotel meiner Meinung nach der Hammer! Bequem, sauber, stylisch, hilfsbereites und freundliches Staff. Gutes Frühstück.

A good concept with details to be reviewed resp. to be reconsidered! The rooms are minimalistic but very stylish and modern! The staff is rather un...friendly, however there were THREE exceptions. A REALLY BIG MINUS- the breakfast "buffet" - we had to pay for some dishes and food variety was simply poor! AT POINT 10:00 all the food is being taken away, so no bonus minutes here...

Fully satisfied
Pretty impressive hotel, service was superb. Free drinks and snacks in the room, fine breakfast, great service at the counter. We forgot a belt in the room, got send to our address after our stay! Location a bit far off, but that's what we chose - close to Stanley beach and more calm than downtown. Easy and quick by bus to Causeway Bay. We come again! Rooms a bit small, well it's Hongkong.

3 Tage Hongkong
3 Tage Hongkong Städtetrip. Das Hotel ist richtig stylisch und cool aufgemacht. Hat mich irgendwie an New York erinnert. Tendenziell ist das Publikum und auch die Belegschaft eher jünger. Alle sehr hilfsbereit wenn man etwas wissen möchte oder Probleme mit irgendetwas hat. Einziges Manko ist die Lage in Aberdeen. Man kann mit dem Bus tagsüber super bequem nach Central fahren (unter 1 EUR). Nachts braucht es aber immer ein Taxi und das kann bspw. aus Kowloon schon etwas teurer werden. Aber alles in allem top. Würde ich wieder buchen.

I arrived to Ovolo Southside early hoping to at least store my bags before check-in, but they gave me a free early check-in! The room was full of unexpected surprises such as the free mini-bar and the cool touchpad in the room that controls your status (do not disturb, request room service, etc.). I enjoyed my stay and would happily do so again, but just be aware of the noise, it could get noisy at some parts of the day.

May look cool but lacks practicality
The (boring) area and the room size are within our expectation, but there are no chairs in the room! We aren't influencers who work and eat in bed, so that's a huge drawback for us. There are no proper desk either, only big empty cabinets. One of us had to work during our stay. The toilet are the shower cubicle are in two separate rooms. We don't like that setting at all. The hotel tries too hard to look cool but overlooks practicality.

It’s highly accessible by MTR. Two stops on the South Island Line and you’re in Admiralty. Loved being outside of the concrete jungle at the end of the day but having easy access to see the sights. The service is stellar and the facilities too. I would stay here again.

I stayed in a corner deluxe room, and the price was reasonable . The room was generally quiet, and the hotel was clean. However, one of the blackout curtains was slightly damaged and didn't fully block the light. It wasn't too much of a problem, though. The hotel room do not have a table, which makes it inconvenient to eat takeaway inside the room. You have to go to the common area to eat. Don't expect too much from the fitness room; it only has basic equipment. There is a free self-service laundry service available. Complimentary beverages were offered in the common area, but the sugar provided wasn't individually packaged and had numerous ants in it. The hotel is conveniently located, with bus and MTR stations nearby.

This stay was pretty dramatic as it went from almost perfect to I suddenly had to leave. While I understood the reason for the incident, I was glad the hotel had special perks which demonstrated they understood a client’s need even if there are areas for improvement.
