Immer wieder gerne
Das "The Bridge Inn" ist eindeutig empfehlenswert. Ich habe für den Zustand nur eine mittlere Bewertungen gegeben da die Aussenterasse mit ein paar Blumen ganz schnell verschönert werden könnte. Ansonsten hat das Inn alles was wir davon erwarten.

Stayed here with my dog for a couple of nights and found everything to be great. The room suited us very well, the service was faultless and what a great breakfast. Beaut location next to a flowing river and while walking along the river i was surprised by a herd of deer crossing the river in front of me but i guess this doesnt happen every day!!. All the same i highly recommend this as a place to stay.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay
We stayed here with our two dogs, one of which is terrified of fireworks, so this is a great place to get away from all the madness. We did the same last year too. It’s a lovely place, the staff are amazing, as is the food (and wine!). The rooms aren’t the most plush but they are perfectly adequate and extremely clean. There are great dog walks nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Worked well for us. Older inn so some noise from adjoining rooms can be expected. Breakfast was very good and had 2 dinners there- both good, a step above pub food. Friendly staff. Great location for hiking in Eskdale area. Wifi was acceptable but not PW protected.

Nice place to stay after a day exploring the area. Staff were generally nice and friendly. Bar had a lovely fire and the food was good. Room was as expected for a pub, you can see efforts have been made to make it a bit more modern but there was a bit of a musty smell. The main issue was our room had a lightbulb from the sign right outside of our window, so that even with the curtains shut it was really bright in the room. It meant we struggled to fall asleep as it really was very bright. A blackout blind would be much better

Rooms are massive and even swapped my double bed for a king size without even asking me which I found so amazing and kind of them, also had full English breakfast which my plate came packed but was gone in 10 minutes, not a big eater in the morning but I can say my plate was empty, no loud noises and really friendly staff even let use take are drinks to rooms after hours which was great for use with having little one asleep in room💗💗💗will be back again

Bridge Inn. Would do it again anyday.
Had a great time here. English hospitality at it's best. Good food with a nice little Pub. Clean rooms. Only down side is they're all on the 2nd floor with narrow stairs up. Hard to get here, but that's not their fault. If you find yourself going thru this area, it's a good stay.

The room needed a chair and the shower lacked a rack to place shampoo, soap etc on. We had to put these on the floor of the shower unit ( I mentioned this when we checked out) More staff were needed. On occasions some staff were abrupt/unhelpful/grumpy, which wasn’t what we expected/deserved or had paid for.

We were only able to request accessible rooms after booking. After we booked and contacted the property, we have been told we can not get accessible rooms by booking online. When we requested a refund, it has been declined rudely over the phone. This happened despite Expedia confirming the booking was canceled and refundable and because of this misleading procedure of booking, we lost our money.

The Bridge Inn is perfectly located for a walk up Scafell Pike. The staff are superb, the room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was brilliant!

Ideal for a walking stay.
Our stay was for three nights and we had breakfast and evening meals for the duration of our stay. The food was very good and the service of the food excellent despite it being busy when we visited. There are a good selection of drinks available. The prices are reasonable for the area. The location is ideal for walks and although we don't have a dog, the pub is dog friendly. The pub is located in the River Irt valley next to a camp site. It's a large pub with a bar, dining room and outside seating area with overhead shelters. There is ample parking. All of the staff are friendly and obliging.

High hopes left me disappointed
The Bridge Inn is very historic and full of charm. I love the remote and cozy location as well. Unfortunately, I found the staff to be less than warm. As a guest they did nothing to make me feel welcomed, very disappointed from the customer service level. That said, the property, though old/historic was well kept overall from a cleanliness standpoint. Clearly, it had the usual drawbacks of an historic Inn. Not designed for anyone with a physical disability though im not yet in that category. Despite the poor service level I would certainly stay there again if I was in the area though it’s not likely I will be back again.
