„It’s a run down bach! The pictures look great but unfortunately the accommodation is not! Not only the garden needs to take care of. The bathroom especially the shower is moldy. „Enjoyed yesteryear charm. Excellent little touches. Be prepared to travel for Cafe's in Rawene. Great to walk the Kohukohu village up past the school to appreciate the wonderful old villas. Most were built in the 1800's. Best to purchase a concession card for ferry travel. Much cheaper.“

„Lovely welcoming hosts, Lise was prompt and attentive. We just stayed the one night but it was a very restful and relaxing stay, very private and serene garden areas to enjoy, and all just a short walk to the Kohukohu CBD : ) Very handy to the pub and shop and just across the street from the bowls club where the locals will happily welcome you for a sneaky beverage, there’s some folks there enjoying a bowl and a beer most nights during the summer nights.“

The bathroom did not have a fan to expel the moist air, which causes problems on the ceiling. In addition to that, the joints in the shower could use some extended cleaning or replacement. Overall good (8/10) but some room for improvement."
