It is a beautiful old building, which has been thoughfully modernised inside.
Our room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom had a good shower, with plenty of hot water. It was also surprisingly quiet, for being in a town, with the occasional call of a pair of tawny owls.
The staff were absolutely great, and very efficiently with their service.
Breakfast was superb, with a menu to suit everyone.
Don't be put off by the hotel not serving evening ...

„We absolute loved our stay at Castle House. It is a beautiful house and the decor and facilities were high end. The house was spotless when we arrived and the towels, cleaning and kitchen products and toiletries were such a lovely added touch. The tvs are amazing and every channel you could possibly want. The bathroom was lovely and clean and the heated towel rail was fantastic and very easy to use. The shower was lovely and spacious.

Decor is quirky downstairs in pub and even worse in bedroom but the facilities are there. I did not mind it upstairs, lived it downstairs.“
