„Our small family, including our dog, spent the New Year in the house. It is lovingly decorated and equipped with everything to make it cozy. We particularly enjoyed the abundance of board games. Lorraine, our host, was very friendly and made sure we lacked nothing. We especially indulged in the world's best brownies. The surroundings are ideal for visiting the most famous spots (Rubha Hunish, Quiraing, Man of Storr, etc.). All in all, a perfect stay!“

„We loved our stay at Ridge Edge Cottage! The neighbors (and their dog) were wonderful and it was so fun to live among the locals for a few nights. You have everything you need here including a washing machine (no dryer). The dishes were not all clean in the cabinet but that was an easy fix with the dish soap provided. It is quite far from Portree (45-60 minutes) but well worth the drive. “

„Unser Urlaub war herrlich, Das Haus war super sauber und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet (zum Beispiel selbst aufgenommene Fotos der Region, sehr passend und stimmig). Die Lage ist unbeschreiblich, morgens weckt einen (wenn man die Vorhänge nicht zu zieht) der Sonnenaufgang über der Bucht. Die Lage in Südlewis erscheint uns allen als Beste auf der ganzen Insel, Grade die Bucht von Uig ist wunderschön, nur ein richtiger Pub hat gefehlt. Übrigens war dies der erste Urlaub, bei dem ich weinen müsste, ...

„Good location for exploring Lewis and Harris. Liked the walk out of the garden up the hill to the bay and along the hills. Cuckoo was very active! Saw evidence of otters and saw seals.“

„Schöne Wanderwege, aber noch schöner einfach über die Hügel eigene Wege finden. Tolle Strände. Aber kaum Möglichkeiten essen zu gehen . Selbst in Tarbert kann man kaum Lebensmittel kaufen. Also unbedingt in Stornoway komplett eindecken.Sehr nette Galerien teils mit Café.“
