Das Hotel hat eine fantastische Anlage, man kann sich kaum was besseres vorstellen. Bietet auch sehr viele Aktivitäten an. Ein absolutes Paradies! Das Zimmer war wirklich groß aber sehr ungemütlich, weil der Boden komplett mit einer komischen Plastikfolie bedeckt war und die Möbel/Dekoration teilweise etwas alt war. Das Zimmer braucht jedenfalls eine richtige Renovierung. Das Bad ist auch extrem alt. Die Türen schützen kaum gegen äußeren Geräusche, das kann schon ein Problem zum schlafen sein wenn man sensibel ist. In Bermuda alle Preise sind sehr hoch, aber das Zimmer per se ist der Preis nicht wert. Wir könnten uns nicht vorstellen dort lang zu bleiben. Aber die Anlage ist atemberaubend und kompensiert es.

CHF 417.-- /Nacht für ein Motelzimmer Positiv: Gute Lage, Schöne Anlage, sehenswerte Unterwasser-Höhle in der Anlage, Bequemes Bett. Negativ: Alte, abgenutzte Möbel, zum Teil stark zerkratztes Mobiliar und Tapeten, effiziente, aber laute Klima-Anlage, Frühstück kostet zusätzlich CHF 26.--, der beworbene Privatstrand ist sehr klein und dadurch völlig überfüllt. Personal bietet nur Standard-Dienstleistungen (Check-in / Check-out - etwas anderes schafft Hektik und - "oh no - sorry, sir!")

While clearly undergoing rejuvenation, this is a truly unique property sitting a top, a natural system of underground grottos into which the operators have included a One of a Kind underground spa which we were glad to have taken full advantage of. The property is self-contained on a pristine bay on which the beachfront is exclusive to the hotel. The rooms and decor while neat and clean are somewhat dated in style and arranged into buildings approximately 20 units in three levels each, stepping up from the water and moving up the hillside to the main house where the reception, restaurants bars and other common facilities are located. Just above thebeach there is a very nice pool area with a covered pavilion, bar and restaurant, gym room, hot tub and restrooms. The property is located less than 10 minutes from the airport and accessible by public transportation which we used extensively during our stay to visit both St. George and Hamilton. About the only negative I could cite beyond the fact that there is currently ongoing construction on the site where they are adding a new wing to the main house containing restaurants in rooftop bar, is the fact that , the hillside location does require a significant amount of climbing to and from either the beach or your room and the restaurant, bar and reception area. That said, The staff was friendly and attentive, the setting was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay and would look forward to returning once the renovations are complete.

Chose this hotel for proximity to airport and private beach. Less than 10 min ride and you arrive at a newly renovated hotel. Walkable to Blue Hole and Swizzle. Not much else around and a $35 cab ride to Hamilton. Bus is easy but takes a bit longer than by Taxi. Wish we had more time to venture out.

I have stayed at this property 4 times now and it is amazing . The location is great. 5 min walk to crystal caves and the swizzle inn . The hotel has its own private cave pool and the private beach is fabulous . The hotel restaurant has one of the best breakfast buffets. The staff is great and go above and beyond to be helpful. The even have a laundry on premises that you can use for 2$ detergent included . The bus stops right in front of the hotel and it's 2.90 per person one way to basically go anywhere on the island .

Very good experience. Bermuda has a very good public bus system. we got passes from the Hotel and traveled very comfortably from the hotel to various attractions, later returning to the Bus Stops right in front of the hotel property. Food and staff were all fantastic.

The beach and the grounds are beautiful, but there needs to be more attention paid to cleaning and fixing things that are crumbling, cleaning windows and floors in the main house etc. The bedrooms are just ok. They are putting fortunes into new additions and seem to be somewhat overlooking the existing property. That said, the property has lovely views, charming chickens and chicks running about and 3 friendly cats. We did enjoy our stay and got plenty of exercise since the property is spread out and there are many steps.

I need to start with the property was under renovation. And cannot be blamed for some of the noise and the inconvenience because of this. However, even if the pool area it was no one there to help with Paul or get up umbrellas and no one came down to take drink orders. The current cafeteria/restaurant really is a big enclosed room with absolutely no warmth. The food was good but as everywhere on Bermuda expensive. I think once the renovations are done, and the place is fully staffed you’ll have a great time there

This is my third time to Grotto Bay and I still love it. There’s room to roam, so many attractions nearby, great rooms and service all with a gorgeous view on your veranda. Food is good at restaurant but The Swizzle Inn is a 5 minute walk with a great menu. I highly recommend Grotto Bay. The staff is amazing!

My room had large particles of soot & debris coming out of the HVAC vent onto the countertop. I notified housekeeping and was told they came to clean it out, but it did not make much difference. Throughout my stay, I continued to wipe the counter down 2 to 3 trimes a say.

Staff was awesome and accommodating. Loved the location as it was convenient to public transportation routes. Only reason did not give 5 stars was because only 1 restaurant and bar were open during our stay due to renovation so had limited choices. Once renovation is complete I would rate 5 stars. I would stay here again.

It was raining so we were not able to take advantage of all of the amenities but we enjoyed the ones we did do. Liked the location however they were doing construction so it was quite loud and the bathroom in the restaurant/ lobby/ bar area was closed so we had to go outside up a hill and upstairs which was not ideal just the cold rain.
