The Waterfront - Close to shops, club, boat ramp!

Welcome to The Waterfront in Gwandalan!
We are 400-600m walking distance to the local shops, bowling club, boat ramp, picnic/BBQ area & more. This truly is a home away from home and is the perfect setting to spend a few days or weeks simply relaxing, sailing, skiing, swimming, paddling, boating and fishing.

The bottom level of this home consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & the laundry. The king bedroom downstairs has access to a 2way entrance bathroom also with access out to the reserve, the two other bedrooms downstairs also have sliding door access to the waterfront reserve. The laundry is provided with a washing machine and dryer for guest to use. It is BYO bed linens and towels.

Upstairs you will find ample living space, as there is two lounge seating areas with comfy lounges along with a dining area, kitchen and the 4th bedroom. Upstairs there is also a powder room.
There is a functional kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge along with all crockery, cutlery & necessary kitchen items. There's a selection of essentials such as tea, coffee and sugar.

The Waterfront is well equipped for a couples getaway or small family groups. The home features open plan living area which flows on to the balcony with magnificent lake views. As the bedrooms and bathrooms are located in separate wings of the house, this is perfect if you're seeking privacy or a haven away from the heart of the home.

Management was difficult to contact. The terms and conditions that we were required to initial clauses and sign wss more akin to a one sided contract. It dictated what was required of us including what our obligations were but there was NOTHING regarding the management's responsibilties. We had not hot water on arrival and electricity went off when we had hesters on. There was also no Wifi.

the house was ok, but the add for the house said first up, that it was airconditioned, but it wasn't, there was a little air con in one of the downstairs bedrooms but it only put out hot air, it was 39 deg the first day and i had my 80 year old mother with us, who was feeling the heat. the add specifically said on the website, airconditioning, we double checked the add, other than that we enjoyed the stay, when it cooled down, thankfully it did stay cooler.

the property is very spacious and was very clean, we found it better than the pictures and some reviews. Very happy with our stay and would recommend highly looking for a peaceful stay with stunning lake view.

We came home with mixed feelings about this stay. On the positive side the location was totally amazing - the views, the nature and the neighbourhood were as good as they could be. On the other hand the house itself was very disappointing. It is in general very old and in a dire need of an urgent and substantial renovation. The cleaners also need to do a much better job. 1. There was rubbish in both queen bedrooms. A half-empty bottle of water in one and some filthy used tissues under the bed in the other 2. The fly-screen door in the entrance is hanging only by a bottom hinge, the top one is broken. 3. The shower head in the main downstairs bathroom is not staying upright 4. Both downstairs bathrooms have very old and shaky toilet seats 5. Most bedrooms and especially mattresses have a strong smell of mold 6. Fly screens in the lounge room are all ripped and shredded. They are not only unable to stop any insects, but also make the whole room look like a war zone. 7. Many stone tiles on the balcony are broken and just lie around making it dangerous to walk there. 8. There are no 2 identical glasses in the kitchen and only one knife 9. Ceiling fans in bedrooms are VERY dirty and rusty. They hang right above beds and look so menacing that it takes some time to convince yourself that they will not fall on your head in your sleep. 10. Sofas and armchairs in the lounge room are very old and smelly 11. There is a big plastic table on the balcony, but has anyone ever cleaned it? It was all dusty and sticky. 12. No shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers. 13. No hair dryers 14. The fact that you do not provide bed sheets is indeed mentioned in the property description, but this is VERY inconvenient. Actually we discovered that only after booking the place. When you charge a premium rate you should provide adequate amenities. Overall, I would highly recommend you to remove this listing and give the house a very good facelift before it could be accepted as lettable again.

Lovely house with open plan, amazing views and had everything we needed. Plenty of crockery, but nothing matching, a fresh set would be nicer. Close to mini supermarket, bakery and bowling club for meals. Right on the waterfront which was great for kayaking and canoeing. Really enjoyed our stay. - Joanne

Spacious and comfortable with lovely views from most rooms. Nice big verandah for BBQs and enjoying the peaceful environment. Great size for our extended family with plenty of room. Was a very hot weekend so Air Con would have been appreciated but at least most bedrooms had ceiling fans. We brought a spare fan for the bedroom without a ceiling fan. Enjoyed sitting down by the water and walking lakeside. Lots of birds around and the children loved the garden next door with bird feeding as well as lots of animal statues to look at. Close to local shops. We would love to stay here again as we really enjoyed it here.

THIS PROPERTY WAS IN A PERFECT POSTION FOR OUR HOLIDAY. THE VIEW FROM THE BALCONY WAS AMAZING NEARLY EVERY NIGHT. WE DINED AT THE CLUB WHICH REALLY IS A 2 MINUTE WALK, AND THE FOOD WAS BEAUTIFUL AS WAS TH SERVICE AND SHOPPED AT THE LITTLE SHOPS WHICH HAS EVERYTHING WE REQUIRED. THE COOKING FACILTIES ARE GREAT AS ARE THE SHOWERS. THE CROCKERY COULD BE REPLENISHED THOUGH, WE FOUND IT TO BE LACKING SOME NUMBERS NO WIFI BUT HEY THAT DIDNT HURT US.

Great view and cleanliness of the house was very good. Proximity to shops, club and boat ramp is great. Needs new cutlery with sharp knives and a matching dinner set would be good. A new set of coffee mugs would also help. Supply of teatowels, dishwashing tabs and liquid and other necessities was also appreciated. We had a most enjoyable weekend and didn't want to leave. We will return. John

Had a great few days at The Waterfront, for a relaxed New Years Break with a group of friends. Huge living space and balcony makes it easy for a larger group to spread out comfortably and enjoy the outlook over the lake. Facilities were all very good - hot water/showers, kitchen, laundry etc. - and bedrooms/living spaces were clean and tidy. Will look to stay again if we are up that way again!
