Las Verandas was a great choice. The room was beautiful and spacious with a wonderful balcony and the food was delicious! The grounds are very well maintained and the ground around the pools never gets hot. The concierge was very helpful, booking us a snorkeling trip and providing other helpful information. The one downfall (no fault of Las Verandas) was the no-see-ums, so bring bug spray and use it!

The Blue Bahia is a boutique resort in Sandy Bay. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The pool is refreshing. The restaurant is excellent. The beach is less a beach and more of a road, which was disappointing, but not a deal breaker. The best part of the resort are the people who own it and their employees. Josh and Kim make sure their guests are well taken care of and make a point of checking in with you every day to make sure everything is going well. Johny, Luis, Kenya, and JoJo at the restaurant are amazing! So kind, so friendly, honestly good people. Sulema, the housekeeper, kept our room clean and well stocked with towels. They all treat you like they've known you forever, and truly care about you. Also, I can't forget our furry friends, Allie, Mia, and Pancake, the resort's canine greeters. I always miss my dogs when I'm away from them, and having a little puppy lovin' makes it easier. We truly had a lovely stay at Blue Bahia.
