A great getaway
We had a lovely stay with Lyndsey. She was very welcoming, had the fire roaring on our arrival and there was everything we needed in the house, including toys for the kids.

Lovely and peaceful location
3 days and 3 nights over Labour Weekend, very cosy place to stay with log-burner and well setup with clean linen and towels. Lots of books and things to read, enjoyable setting for short walks, and only a 5 minute drive to Blackball.

Charming Cottage
Roa cottage is nestled up the Roa Valley amongst the green hills clad with bush and filled with bird song and relaxing views. We were kept warm by the log burner and enjoyed playing games in the evening before, setting off to hike the Paparoa track. The cottage is very close to the start of the track. It is a relaxing space and Lyndsey is warm and welcoming. Thanks for having us.

Cute quirky cottage getaway
Super lovely host - greeted us when we arrived - fire was going so the house was nice and warm. Cozy cottage with comfortable beds, it brought back memories of childhood batch holidays. Kids loved the experience . We would come back :)

Our Visit to Blackball
Very comfortable and warm home. Everything that we required supplied with fresh homemade bread straight out of the oven on arrival. Nice touch. Would recommend.

Fantastic cottage in bush setting
We loved this home. Cat included. Cottage gardens and stream. Bush views, Chicken across the road. Great beds and pillows, good shower. Good books on the local area. Thank you so much for the stay. Perfect for our needs.

A lovely character bach with the fire going when we arrived. Lindsey the perfect host and we enjoyed the lovely garden and bush surrounding. Lots of extras like reading material , games and peace and quiet. Very close to Paparoa Track.

Roa - A hidden cottage gem.
Beautiful little cottage, but not as small as it looks. Stunning garden and surroundings; Native bush and wildlife just out the window. Lovely hostess made planning our trip easy. Truely peaceful spot, would stay again; was hard to leave.

Affordable family getaway
This was the perfect place for our family of 5. Great value and a great spot to explore the west coast. The fire was going when we arrived which was a lovely touch. Nice linen on the beds and we loved the friendly cat too.

Roa cottage
Roa cottage is in a stunning location, close to walks and fascinating historical items. Lyndsey was an excellent communicator and the cottage was prepped for us with easy access and the fire going. There were lots of books and toys that the kids enjoyed. An issue we had was resolved with Lyndsey and we thank her for that.

Country Experience
On arrival we made our way down the garden path to the cottage hidden amongst the trees. A freshly baked loaf of bread was waiting for us….nice touch! The cottage is located about 30mins from Greymouth and only a few minutes from Blackball where we enjoyed a meal at the local hotel. The location is very peaceful and perfect for a large family. A great place to get away from it all and relax.

Great base for exploring Paparoas, Greymouth and coast
Very quiet hide-out place, ample space for a family of four. Great base for exploring historical mine sites around Blackball and the wider region. One hour drive to Punakaiki. We had brilliant sunny weather the whole time, but for times of less luck with the weather there are plenty of interesting books provided!

Just one night!
We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. We arrived late at night and the fire was going making the place warm and cosy. Cottage has everything you need for a comfy stay!

Homely Roa Cottage
We had a lovely stay at Lyndsey's cottage, it was very cosy and had all the amenities that was required, Great location and only a few minutes drive from Blackball centre.
