Super Sonnenaufgang, zentral, ruhig
ca 10 Minuten zu Fuss ins Zentrum von Fira und zum Busbahnhof, 15 Minuten zum fantastischen Sonnenuntergang. Die Strasse geht ein wenig bergauf, aber das ist ok. Schöner Pool mit Liegen, sehr sauber und gepflegt. Hübsche Zimmer, gut ausgemalt, Malerei an den Wänden (Insel, Sonnenuntergang) Einziger Nachteil (wie auch so oft in anderen Hotels in Griechenland): recht kleines Badezimmer, Duschvorhang ungenügend, so dass recht viel Wasser nach dem Duschen am Boden ist.

Gemütliches und freundliches Hotel in Santorin
Sehr freundliches und stets hilfsbereites Hotelpersonal, besonders hervorzuheben ist der kostenlose Shuttle Service zum Flughafen bzw. Hafen bei An- und Abreise. Das Hotelzimmer und Balkon waren eher klein und leider nicht auf der Seite zum Pool gelegen, vermutlich sind diese Zimmer etwas geräumiger. Aber Ausstattung, Sauberkeit und Service waren perfekt. Die Lage des Hotels ist ebenfalls ein Pluspunkt, nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß zum Hauptkern von Firá, wo Tag und Nacht Trubel herrscht, viele Tavernen, Geschäfte, Cafés, etc. Das Hotel selbst liegt aber einige Meter abseits und daher relativ ruhig. Besonders erwähnenswert ist der tolle und großzügige Pool-Bereich, sehr gemütlich und erholsam, auch für reichlich schattige Plätze ist gesorgt. Einziger "Kritikpunkt": die beschriebene "Swimming pool bar" war leider nicht geöffnet bzw. exisitiert anscheinend gar nicht?!?!

Good hotel with very friendly staff. There was no restaurant/café present in the hotel which was inconvenient because you could not order snacks/beverages if you wanted to spend some time by the swimming pool. The hotel is located downhill and to reach the main Caldera way there is a climb of about seven minutes. The closet café/resturant/supermarket is also about 5/7 minutes uphill walk.

Lovely hotel! Stayed in a maisonette room for three nights and loved it. Staff are so friendly and polite (sadly I didn’t get any names), but they were great! The room itself was really nice and modern. One thing to add is the ceiling in the bedroom part of the maisonette is really low - not really a negative but just something to bear in mind. Pool towels were provided and whilst there’s no bar they do sell drinks in the reception area from a drinks cart. Pool area is amazing and always quiet. Loved the balcony - sea views (non caldera) are really nice (not as breathtaking as some of the hotels that charge an extortionate amount per night, but still great). Overall amazing value for money and couldn’t recommend anymore. Location is a real asset - just at the top of the hill from the hotel (quite a steep one that is manageable for those who are fit and able) is Fira square and the bus station is a 5 minute walk away, so you can get the bus to the port/airport, or to one of the beaches. The hotel are also happy to arrange transfers

Lovely stay at Golden Star hotel!
We had a lovely stay here. We were greeted by the male receptionist who’s there in the evenings; he was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. He answered all our queries and gave us lots of information. We had a bit of an issue with our room and didn’t get the suite we originally booked, but that was fine because we were really happy with the room we got as it still had a sea view. Hotel was so squeaky clean everywhere and it’s quite brand new. Our room and bathroom were cleaned spotless everyday. It’s a quiet hotel on a quiet street, which we loved and we loved being able to relax by the pool which wasn’t too busy either despite us going in August. Room was very spacious and very modern. Loved it!

We had a really nice experience in this hotel, the staff e polite and helpful, helped us around the island and gave us tips on transport and restaurants. It’s in a really good location, quiet area but at a walking distance from the city centre, the walk is a bit up hill but everything there seems to be. We really enjoyed our stay and we come back to Santorini we will be staying there again! Nice pool and views!
