When we initially checked in, it was after hours, so I was unable to speak to reception about the condition of our apartment. We were first allocated an apartment on level 2. Unfortunately, the apartment was in an unacceptable state and was dirty. There were black footprints leading from the balcony into the lounge/kitchen area, a bottle cap, and blocks of squashed cheese on the balcony floor. The balcony floors and door tracks were extremely dirty. The outdoor table and chairs were black with dirt and did not appear to have been cleaned for a very long time, making them unusable.
The kitchen benchtops and stove top had ants and food crumbs. The lounge chairs and table also had food crumbs and hair on them. The main bedroom floor had dirt and hair, and the lounge furniture was in poor condition and should be replaced.
The following morning, I spoke to reception. The staff member was lovely and offered us a choice of two other apartments. We chose to move to level 11. This apartment was in a much better condition, and we enjoyed the remainder of our stay there.
The location is amazing, right on the beach, and both apartments had beautiful views.
