„A luxury cottage in a beautiful setting. Tastefully furnished with a pretty garden. Unfortunately the countryside setting wasn’t that peaceful as sporadically two very loud men were working on restoring some vintage double decker buses in the adjoining barn - language and diesel fumes not so welcome.“

„If you love a peaceful country retreat then this is for you. Wildlife all around. The owner could not be more helpful. Peacocks at the back door herds of dear and flocks of amazing rheas much better than advertised. You do need a car with good clearance for the track through the forest but it's worth it as it all ads to the amazing adventure. Thank you once again to our host Martin who meets guests at the gate to lead you through the forest.“

„Man kann alles nur mit den meisten Sternen bewerten. Eine Gastgeberin wie Penny kann man sich nur wünschen. Um die Jahreszeit war es schon recht früh dunkel. Alles kein Problem so gegen 16:00 h wieder einkehren, Kessel an teatime im Wohnzimmer sitzen und sich wohlfühlen. Bei der Anreise beim eintreten begrüßte uns schon der Tannenbaum. Man fühlte sich von Anfang bis Ende zu Hause. War wohl nicht der letzte Besuch.“

The house is very cozy and provides everything you need from self-catering accommodation. Walkers can plan their routes directly from the farm or with just a short drive have plenty of other options. „We hebben een fantastische 9 dagen vakantie gehad in de stallen. Een erg vriendelijk en behulpzame gastvrouw. bij aan komst een heerlijk welkomst pakket en een heerlijk flesje wijn. Voor iedereen die een fan is van de National trust is dit de ideale accommodatie alles is op korte afstand bereikbaar en een rustpunt na een dag in de English Country. Donald en Anneke (Holland)“
