Mostly great

Very nice property the only problems we had or things we didn't like was the hot tub was locked so we couldn't adjust temp to our liking and the oven was in the way of silverware drawer had to open oven to open drawer and could use a little light out near the hot tub other than that it was great clean nice place to stay

Beautiful and peaceful

This is a perfect little cabin for a couple or small family. Very clean, everything you could need is supplied, and located in a serene environment. We really enjoyed our stay here.

This cabin was so cute! The pictures really don’t do it any justice. My fiancé and I were more than happy staying here looking out over the beautiful trees in the mountain. The directions we were given were easy to follow and all of the helpful tourist books kept near the dining table were very much used during our trip!

Love Sugar Bear

The cabin was everything we were looking for. Very clean and comfortable. Beautifully decorated but not overboard like a couple of cabins we have stayed previously. Just wish the fireplace actually put out some heat. Don't get me wrong, it works but all the heat goes up the chimney. My wife is one of those people that starts hunting coat at anything below 70 and she just loves sitting in front of a fire. This is where you find her at home during the cooler months. If you are planning on doing much cooking you may consider bringing at least a frying pan with you but that was a good reason for me to buy another one at the lodge store. Thanks again for sharing your mountain home with us and I hope that we can reserve it again sometime. Please let house keeping know that we wasn't able to leave things a little cleaner but the cabin lost power on the morning we were leaving. According to the gentleman at the guard office a tree had feel and hit some lines causing the transformer to throw the switch.

An idyllic retreat

The quiet natural atmosphere of the Sugar Bear cabin was perfect for 3 days of unwinding from stressful routines of life. I have only two suggestions for improvement: 1. provide an oven friendly roasting pan 2. Move the king size bed at least 6 more inches away from the wall.

Very relaxing

We had a very nice time at this cabin. We were very comfortable & liked the double sinks in the bathroom. Always felt like we were coming home at the end of the day. Loved having breakfast on the deck in the morning. Such a private location which was great. We gave one star on amenities only because we are avid tennis players and chose this location based on the fact tennis was listed as being on property. When we asked two different security guards about it, we were told the tennis court (1)hadn't been used in years & was not playable. We finally found it and they were absolutely correct; you can barely climb the hill behind the pool off Golf Creek to get to it and it had fallen trees all over it. Tennis shouldn't be advertised if not available. We would have rented somewhere else if we had known.

Awesome Cabin

This cabin was great. It is a little smaller than I was expecting from the pictures. But pictures are pictures. It was cozy and inviting. Just the right amount of room for our family of 4 to come home to in the evenings after spending all day in the mountains. The king size bed in the bedroom was amazing. Probably the best I have slept in years. It was so soft. Lots of spices and cookware available to use. We will definitely stay here again!

PERFECT PLACE FOR TWO

Your cabin was perfect for our weeks stay in the Smokies. It was very easy to find and easy to get in and out of with a great area to park. We had everything we needed for our stay. The cabin is tucked away in the woods and we never knew there were other houses any where near by. And that bed !!!!!, the best one we ever slept on in 20 years of visiting the Smokies. Anyone who stays here will not be disappointed.

not Impressed at all with this cabin

The cabin was very small. There was absolutely NO view of anything from the porch except trees and the road. There was no privacy. Sitting on the deck in the evening, people driving on the road heard our conversation and responded to us! The lack of electrical outlets and strange places that light switches were was very inconvenient. This is the fourth cabin that we have rented at Cobbly Nob and the other three got excellent reviews from us. We were very disappointed.

Clean & cozy

We arrived to the cabin about 11:30pm. Very dark and twisty road leads up to the cabin a few street lights on the way. The directions we received to the cabin were spot on! So no trouble finding the cabin. A motion sensor light came on as we got out of the car helping tremendously. Entering the cabin we found it to be very clean. Our time in the cabin was reduced to just sleeping and showering. We didn’t use the grill or hottub or even the stove or oven. With so much to do and see in the area we were overwhelmed. We will venture back to do things that we didn’t get to. We did have a day that was supposed to rain so we drove an hour and a half to Asheville to visit the Biltmore Estate. If you have a chance to go, do it! This place was incredible, hard to believe that it was built in the 1890’s. I would recommend staying here and will try to book Sugar Bear again when we go back.

We had a wonderful time. The Cabin was very nice and cozy.

The property was very peaceful. We enjoyed it very much. Our only negative is that the driveway was a little difficult to manuever especially in the dark but all in all it was a beautiful experience and we will return again.

Cute cabin!

This is a great cabin. It didn’t have much of a view at all, but I’m sure in the fall time when the trees don’t have leaves the mountain would be more visible. My sister and I had a blast! And they had a bunch of great movies on their TVs! I’d stay here again, to say the least!
