Gather Around the Fire, Between Forest and Sea.

KESHIKI CHO-SAN is a private retreat hidden deep in the forest of Futtsu, Chiba, accommodating up to 6 guests.

Just about an hour from central Tokyo, the house sits on a wooded hillside overlooking the Uraga Channel, where large ships slowly pass beyond the trees.

This special place has been created and cared for by “Cho-san,” a local chef. Working with his own hands, he has gradually shaped the house and surrounding forest while preserving the natural landscape.

Outside, gather around the fire, enjoy a BBQ, and cook together with local vegetables, fresh seafood, or whatever ingredients you bring.

The forest is also home to deer, monkeys, wild boar, and many kinds of birds. Wake to birdsong, explore the woods by day, gather around the fire at sunset, and spend the night beneath the stars.

It is neither a luxury resort nor a perfectly organized campsite.

It is a place to enjoy nature, food, fire, and a little freedom.

KESHIKI CHO-SAN continues to grow, little by little, together with Cho-san.
