Walnut Tree Cottage is a characterful, detached retreat set within shared lawned grounds and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Once part of a historic estate that included a wheelwright’s and post office, it offers modern comfort in a setting steeped in history. Ideal for walkers, cyclists and wildlife lovers, it`s just a mile from Fordingbridge and close to top attractions like the New Forest Water Park and Moors Valley Country Park.

Whether you’re exploring local footpaths, enjoying days by the coast or relaxing with a good book in the sitting-out area, Walnut Tree Cottage is a welcoming base to return to.

A Home to Relax and Unwind
With its thick beams, wooden floors and warm country feel, Walnut Tree Cottage is full of character. The downstairs kitchen/dining room is well equipped for easy meals in, while the upstairs lounge is ideal for cosy evenings watching a film or reading a book.

A king sofa bed in the living room offers flexibility for families, and the king-size bedroom promises a peaceful night’s sleep.


The Layout
The cottage is arranged over two floors for practical living and comfort.

You’ll find:
- Kitchen/dining room with electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer dryer
- Shower room with shower and toilet
- Upstairs lounge with Freeview TV, DVD and CD player, and double sofa bed
- Bedroom with a king-size bed and calming country views
- Sitting-out area, plus access to a shared lawned garden and 1-acre grounds
- We currently don’t have Wi-Fi or an Ethernet connection.


Location
Set just off the road between Salisbury (9 miles) and Ringwood (5 miles), the cottage is perfectly placed for exploring both coast and countryside. Directly opposite are footpaths into the New Forest National Park—ideal for walking or spotting local wildlife.

Fordingbridge is just a mile away and offers shops, cafés and riverside charm. The coast, Salisbury, Stonehenge, and popular family attractions like Beaulieu Motor Museum and Marwell Zoo are all within easy reach by car.

There’s secure bike storage if you’re bringing bikes to explore the forest trails.

Booking Policy
- Full payment is due 30 days before arrival and will be automatically charged to the card on file.
- If payment fails, it must be completed within 24 hours or the booking will be cancelled.
- Early payment is allowed (card fees up to 3% are non-refundable if cancelled).

Cancellation Policy
- Full refund if cancelled 30+ days before arrival.
- 50% refund if cancelled 14–30 days before arrival.
- No refund if cancelled within 14 days of arrival.
