„We loved every minute of our time at Whispering Pines and in Mt. Ida. We were able to disconnect and enjoyed much needed family time. We loved the hammocks, fire pit, creek and the hiking near the cabin. We didn’t do everything g we wanted and everyone was ok with that! The cabin was so cute and clean and the kids loved having for life upstairs to sleep in. “

„Make sure to use GOOGLE maps!! The place was amazing. Kitchen FULLY stocked with everything you could ever think of, and plenty of it. I am very particular about bedding and comforters and pillows and they were SO comfortable. Plenty of pillows AND plenty of extra blankets! Cannot WAIT to bring all the kids next time. So many places to wander and explore and so many hikes you can drive to. I wanted extremely remote with views and this was absolutely perfection! “

„We had a great stay! The house was well equipped and clean. The location is wonderful; private and quiet. We loved the creek and spent most of our time swimming and exploring. We also went crystal mining which was a very close 20 minute drive. Tons of fun and hope to come back!“

„ SO QUIET AND PEACEFUL. MY 6 YR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER AND I WALKED DOWN THE ROAD AND LEARNED ABOUT ANIMAL TRACKS (DEER, RACOON, TURKEY) WE ALSO JUMPED UP A DEER COOL TO SEE IT. MY DAUGHTERS BOY FRIEND ALSO PROPOSED. THIS PLACE WILL ALWAYS BE SPECIAL. THE PROPERTY WAS PERFECT, CLEAN HOMEY AND HAD EVERY THING YOU COULD EVER NEED. THANKS FOR A GREAT STAY!“

From the porch to the firepit this house has everything you need and then some. Easy access to the trails without ever getting on the blacktop roads. „My boyfriend and I needed a quick getaway from city life! The Hideout was perfect for us! We built a fire, cooked dinner on the grill, and lived in the hot tub! The sunset was beautiful and the cows in the bottom pasture grazing reminded me of home! We will definitely be back and want to make it a regular trip! “

„1st, there is a trick for the host to know how much interaction to have with guest…they were PERFECT. 2nd: the location was PERFECT. We wanted to be secluded, away from the daily grind. Even w the hostess on backside of property, we couldn’t see it from living room or porch. 3rd: you you can fish from the porch. 4th: come prepared to tube the Iron Fork River.
