„Four of us - 2 adults and 2 teens - spent a lovely, last minute trip March 13-15, 2025. The cabin did not disappoint. Nestled along the mighty Madawaska River and tucked down in the forest. We played cards, watched movies, and a sat on the awesome couch with a warm fire while enjoying the views. „We should have stayed a bit longer, Tom's cottage is perfect to calm down and relax after a long and intensive sightseeing road trip through USA and Canada. No motor boats on the lake, the next busy road quite far away - best place to relax. We liked also on evenings to make BBQ with the gas grill and the camp fire in the fire pit . I hope there is a next time to get there.“

„We stayed as a family of four with two young children at the end of summer. The property is beautiful and the water very shallow quite a ways out so it was perfect for our 1.5 and 2.5 year olds. They had a blast playing in the water, riding around in the kayak and playing with some beach toys provided. „The Little Riverside was exceptionally clean, and well a appointed and the kitchen included anything you may need. Beds were very comfortable as well. Access was easy and the location is quiet with very little traffic. The two different outdoor seating areas were lovely, and enjoyed every day. Mike met us on arrival, and gave us the details, and has a great sense of humour! Everyone was friendly and the hosts responded very quickly when information was needed.“

„The whole property is very clean and tidy. The host is very helpful and friendly. The cottage is easy to get to and just a few minutes from town and the ski hill. The waterfront is nice for swimming. Overall, we were very happy with the spot and would return. “

„The cabin is located in a beautiful setting, right at the lake. The interior is very spacious and the kitchen and bathroom both well equipped. The bedrooms are also light and well furnished. There is plenty of gear for outside activities. Communication with Louis, the owner went very smooth and easy. It is an ideal place for the summer season. Our trip was early October and we had some ice and it started to snow.“

We started in Tweed, shopped all the shops in Maynooth ( just N of Bancroft.You have GOT to visit Cassidy’s for specialty coffees, teas & estate jewellery & don’t miss Firefox either). Bancroft has all sorts of shops. Try Fiesta Flavours for lunch.
