"This hotel is located in a tough and arguably unsafe neighborhood. If you’re a nervous tourist who can’t handle Queens energy, this is probably not for you. The walk to the F-train (about 8 minutes) is lined with homeless individuals and people constantly asking for money. Police presence is visible on almost every block. Local buses one block away connect you to Astoria and Steinway, which is a plus. During our stay, there were daily disruptions: early morning construction noise, fire alarms (we were evacuated at 7am), carpet installation with hammering at 8am, and zero proactive communication from management. Requests were ignored, and there was no effort to offer compensation for repeated inconveniences. The gym is more symbolic than useful — an old treadmill, a stepper, a Peloton bike, and a few free weights. Definitely not a fitness facility. On the positive side, the room was clean, and I appreciated the option of two different types of pillows. Also, if you’re into running or walking, it’s possible to reach Roosevelt Island on foot, which offers a great contrast to the rest. If you can block out the chaos, don’t mind being ignored by staff, and are comfortable in a gritty urban setting — this might work for you."

"Wunderschöne Aussicht von den oberen Stockwerke. Die Betten waren gemütlich und die Grösse der Zimmer ideal. Einziges Manko war, dass der Teppich nicht gesaugt war/wurde, alles andere war aber sauber. Die Ubahn ist in 4min. erreichen und die Gegend ist auch sicher. In der Nähe gibt es 2 Deli Supermärkte, der auf der linke ist super um zu Frühstücken oder ein Sandwich zu nehmen. p.s. ein Bisschen weitervorne gibt es eine Rooftopbar die eine super Aussicht hat ;). Wir werden nochmals kommen. Die Frau an der Rezeption war sehr nett und sympathisch. Danke für alles. "

"Our stay at this hotel was truly a disappointment. From the moment we entered the room, it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority — there were stains on the furniture and floors, and finding someone else’s hair in the bathroom was simply disgusting. The windows were poorly sealed, allowing freezing cold air to rush in, and the AC unit was so loud that it was impossible to get a decent night's sleep. To make matters worse, the constant noise from the nearby streets made us feel like we were sleeping outside. The worst part was that the constant drafts made my children sick, turning what was supposed to be a relaxing night into a stressful and worrying experience. I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone. It was truly upsetting."
