„Wir hatten das Pech, das Häuschen direkt an der viel befahrenen Strasse zu haben. Der Lärm war doch ziemlich gross. Je weiter weg von der Strasse desto ruhiger und besser.“

„My unit was clean and host was responsive and very kind! Everything was cozy and I felt very comfortable. The only difference is there was no full stove and oven it is a hot plate. I was able to cook meals fine but did expect a full stove as pictured. Other than than it was comfy, had a great balcony view, and wonderdul host and host family. I would definitely stay again. Also, there are a few local stores that are in walking distance that I loved exploring and getting necessties from. :)“

„This house is beautiful. It has the best views. El Castillo is such a cute town, with some of the best food at the shops down the street (and a very good bakery). The house is very close to the lake and Arenal volcano, and about a 30-40 minute drive to the city center where you can do a bunch of different tour activities. The views are incredible! „Fabulous experience. if you want the wild/lodge experience but still a staffed hotel with a bunch of services then this is for you! We were in the middle of the wilderness, with birds and sloths on site, but still had room service/clean up and buffet style breakfast and a pool! Absolutely recommend. good distance to all the sites/activity but far enough from the tourist trap that is la fortuna!“

„Adan and Marianne were perfect hosts and far exceeded our expectations. Communication and check-in were easy and they even called to help us navigate a GPS error (on our part) on our way there. „We really enjoyed the quiet village and the house's amazing views of the volcano and lake! We saw beautiful birds everywhere. Loved the swings and the 3rd floor lookout! So peaceful. The only drawbacks were, one night the neighborhood dogs barked for an hour and we had a little trouble finding the house but Erika went out of her way to talk us through it and had her daughter meet us!
