„Very secluded one room cabin with sink and toilet. Lighting on solar electric. Propane BBQ and camp stove. Overall quite clean. Time will meet you at the main road and guide you in. SUPER good guy, informative and friendly. Maximum solitude. While many have experience coyotes, owls and their things we did hear woodpeckers and several song birds but otherwise very quiet. We just spent one overnight so not a great deal of time to refer to.“

The only openable window had no screen, and the screen on the outside door sat several inches above the threshold: not great in mosquito season. The porch light didn’t work, necessitating use of flashlight while grappling with the lock. The bathroom wallpaper was dangling over the sink, and the bathroom trash can was full when we arrived, whereas neither the dish nor laundry detergents had been restocked for us.“

There was some noise from upstairs late at night, including footsteps and the toilet flushing, which was a bit startling since it was right above our room. Advocate Harbour is a beautiful and interesting little town and the drive from Parrsboro tp Advpcate Harbour, while a bit more rugged than we anticipated, is stunningly beautiful with unbelievable scenery. There are lots of parks nearby and lots of interesting beaches. The cottage itself is very comfortable and clean with everything you need to cookyour own meals.
