The service was one of the worst I experienced in many years. First, when we arrived, we had to wait 6 hours, until the room was ready. Many others had the same issue. Suddenly, all rooms were ready, which means the service personnel did not report back, when a room was done. On two days, there was simply no staff at the pool desk, so we and others waited up tom15min to get towels. On day 2, we wanted to get a drink in the room. The glasses were very dirty, so I called the service to get fresh ones - it took them more than an hour. On our level the ice cube machine was not working, which can happen, but no one of the staff cared about it. On day 3, we arrived from a trip at 5pm back at the hotel, we did not get any room service. Note , I payed EUR 1000 for 3 days, so these things are an absolute no-go!

Wovor wir besonders angetan waren, ist die unglaublich Freundlichkeit der Insulaner, egal ob in Papeete, im Bus, im Supermarkt oder der Service im Hotel. Diese Freundlichkeit ist nicht gespielt, sondern ernst gemeint, dafür war ich schon an so vielen Orten um zu merken , dass es kein Bla, bla ist!

Steg mit supersicht auf fische wäre zum schnorcheln super leider keine einstiegsmöglichkeit ins wasser.frühstück ok aber nichts aussergewöhnliches.restaurants vorhanden leider kein hilton niveau,eher kantinenatmosphäre,kein flair,speisen eher lieblos,kein abendprogramm am Wochenende

The hotel is clean and not crowded. I have only 4 star to the facility since the room that we stayed in had a musty smell- like when clothing are NOT dried well. Maybe they can have a better ventilation or air freshener installed. The tub in the bathroom is a hazard not only for older people but also for all . The in is so high that you need to climb over with a possibility of slipping. The pool bar service was very slow. They claimed that it was a holiday in Tahiti and most staff were off. Otherwise our stay was good for the purposes of our short vacay…

This hotel is probably one of the best Hiltons I have ever stayed in. Handy for the airport (just 10 minutes and $20 ride - no shuttle). Great pool, bar, etc, and whole lobby area is fantastic. Unfortunately it is not a destination hotel such as those in Bora Bora, but more a place to stay in whilst in transit. Not much to see or walk to unless you rent a car to explore further afield. However, top marks for Hilton to have such a great hotel with well trained staff, great service and such a beautiful facility.

This hotel is close to the airport and many guests seemed to be using it as a stop-over before or after a cruise. The facility is nice but dated. The Italian restaurant was mediocre and overpriced. The breakfast buffet, which is not included in the room price and expensive, was adequate but closes promptly at 10:00am. Nice pool, no usable beach. Overall an adequate choice as a stop-over in Papeete but not a great destination in itself.

The best aspect being the outstanding staff, so friendly and helpful even if not entirely knowledgeable in minor matters (where to find traditional food -the market!; where to find sunscreen - free at the pool!). The property is very nice, with lots of different facilities and beautiful grounds. We chose an ocean view room and the view from the balcony was spectacular! Elevators arrive in 5 seconds. There were a few nights of live music for entertainment, but I wish they had Tahitian dancers, had to go elsewhere for it. There were some things that affected our comfort. Frosted glass panel between bathroom & bedroom shed too much light in the middle of the night when your partner uses the bathroom it lights up the room! Pool umbrellas are too small, only one to two lounges, and vented letting in brutal sun all day, making it necessary to move your lounge or umbrella around frequently. Was told by one staffer not to move umbrellas, ignored her after she left, canNOT just sit in the sun! Dead fly in the bathroom upon checking in, didn't pick it up partly not to touch it and partly to see what would happen, it was still there the next day and the day after. No washcloths two days. No TP one day - had to go ask for a roll. Set in an industrial area, though we only ventured out by taxi. However, there is a shopping center just over the pedestrian walkway. WiFi is only for "Honors" members, which is ridiculous. Every hotel and motel offers WiFi these days, what's wrong with HIlton?

We didn't stay at the Hilton Hotel Tahiti but I still wanted to thank them. Due to flooding in Tahiti, we canceled our stay at the Hilton and the Hilton was kind enough to refund our pre-paid booking. Other hotels on Tahiti weren't so kind and we had to forfeit our pre-paid bookings.
