„Charming old building with cosy rooms. Excellent restaurant downstairs. Nice views of the river and sailboats. Right at the promenade. Access to the rooms through the staff area of the kitchen. Private bathroom was not en-suite.“

„This place is a gem! There is a bus that is a block away and takes 20 minutes to Stansted Airport. The room we had was wonderful: beautiful bed linens, Turkish bath robe, lovely decor, and a beautiful, healthy, breakfast in the fridge that included a very fresh and attractive fruit platter. The little touches like the coffee machine, toaster, and excellent bread, butter, jams, fresh milk, pretty china cups and plates, made us feel we were in a real home. Martha Stewart could not have done ...

„We have stayed at the Marlborough before on our travels in 2025 and when we retuned this year 2026 we wanted to stay again but longer this time. So glad we did everyone one was kind and friendly and new what they were doing. the pub itself and the rooms were excellent and vintage. The area of course is wonderful. All service, food and beverages top class. We plan on returning possibly next year and will likely stay even longer. Thank you.“

„The Hotel is ok, the cleanliness could be improved“
