"Very happy with my stay, stayed here twice for 2 weeks at a time Excellent, soft bed (did not try the Futon), amenities and internet provided, clean rooms Powerful AC to deal with the hot South China weather, despite Guangzhou being full of mosquitos in summer the rooms were entirely insect free and had mosquite nets or pesticide in case one left the window open, no power outages and always hot, running water, staff were young, nice and motivated and equipped with AI translators (Ive seen them work with Russian and English, I imagine German should work as well, cleaning staff always on time and always works well. Roof is accessible 2pm-midnight and has a tea and coffee bar, I recommend the lemon tea. Anything from the bar is delivered to the rooms by WeChat, which can also be used to ask the staff for support, which was happy to help with anything anytime (as long as it wasn't past midnight) Breakfast is alright, dumplings, fried rice and egg were my favourite, but the coffee could be better. Book in floor 8 and you have a great view from your window, otherwise you will most likely face the adjacent skyscrapers. The location is sublime, in the middle of the must see pedestrian street in the heart of Guangzhou, Taxis (DiDi Ride Hailing recommended) will get you anywhere cheaply within 30 minutes and Metro access as well as tons of restaurants, shops and local food at the square at the front door. If you order food with WeChat it can be delivered right to your room. 10/10 "

"Sehr schönes Hotel mit einem tollen Park wo man spazieren kann. Etwas außerhalb somit eine ruhige Lage, mit dem Taxi ca. 30 Minuten bis in die Stadtmitte. Zimmer war sehr geräumig und Personal freundlich. Gerne komme ich wieder. Viele Grüße "

"Insgesamt klasse - mit ein paar Einschränkungen im Wellnessbereich: Die Sauna ist sehr spartanisch mit ultraschmaler Liegefläche, bestenfalls 40 cm. Sehr klein und dunkel, nicht ansprechend. Zudem Jungs und Mädels getrennt, doof als Pärchen. Im Pool muss eine Badekappe getragen werden! Ansonsten ist Hotel wirklich schön. Aufpassen bei den Preise im Day-Café; 75 Yuan für einen Café Latte ist happig, dafür haben wir in direkter Nachbarschaft 2 x zu zweit zu Abend gegessen. Zur Canton Fair gibt`s Shuttle-Busse, sind vermutlich mit die letzten Busse in Guangzhou, die mit Verbrennermotor unterwegs sind. Die Fahrt dauert ca. 40 Minuten, je nach Verkehr auch länger. Nun aber zu den positiven Dingen: Sehr freundliches, unaufdringliches Personal, gute Betten, guter Schlafkomfort. Dusche & Bad ebenfalls einwandfrei, sehr umfangreiches und leckeres Frühstücksbuffet, top."

"It was our first trip to China and we loved it. The Shangri_La Hotel is simply outsanding, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the Hotel itself is amazing and has everything you could want. The landscaping outside in the Garden and around the beautful Pool are just pristine. and the food was extraordinary, we planned to go out to eat to experience Chinese Food, but there was no need as the Hotel's 6 Restaurants had everything we could have hoped for. all around a magnificent Hotel, we will be back for sure"
