Altes Herrenhaus, welches in Teilen als Hotel genutzt wird. Teile des Gebäudes werden jedoch nicht mehr benutzt, sie z.B. Pool, Fitnessbereich etc. Auch gehöhrt das Restaurant nicht zum Hotel, ebenso wird die Bar separat geführt. Das Haus gehörte zu einem Betreiber, der pleite ging. Nachdem das Haus einige Zeit geschlossen hatte ist es nun wieder geöffnet. Zimmer sind sehr schön und außergwöhnlich eingerichtet. Ein super Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. die Aussenanlage ist gepflegt und man kann schön draussen sitzen und wird über die Bar mit Getränken versorgt. Sehr viel Flair, auch wenn man merkt, dass Geld für die Renovierung fehlt. Restaurant ist ebenfalls zu empfehlen

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit wunderbaren alten schottischen Möbeln, man fühlt sich um 100 Jahre in der Zeit zurück versetzt. Personal war bemüht, und auch sehr freundlich. Das angebotene Essen im zugehörigen Restaurant war auch sehr gut. Leider nicht so toll war, an Sonntagen ist um 22 Uhr die Bar geschlossen, und man bekam im Hotel nirgendwo was zu trinken. Der Spa und Pool-Bereich war geschlossen und konnte nicht genutzt werden.

Die Unterkunft selbst war sehr schön. Allerdings entsprach das reichliche Frühstück (Angabe Hotels.com) nicht dem was wir erwartet hatten. Beim Tee war man als Hotel überhaupt nicht flexibel - es gab nur schwarzen Tee. Auch das Frühstück selbst war wenig abwechslungsreich - kein Käse Wurst oder ähnliches. Dann gab es entweder nur Honig oder nur Marmelade.

Das Hotel ist abgewohnt und die Zimmer dreckig. Die Tagesdecke und Wandfliesen wurden seit Jahren nicht gewaschen, so sieht es zumindest aus. als wir ankamen, waren wir von außen begeistert. Allerdings wurden wir beim Check In direkt darüber informiert, dass es gar kein Hotel mehr sei, sondern ein B&B. Es gibt also kein Restaurant (wie es aber beschrieben wird). Die Gläser beim Frühstück waren dreckig. Einzig das Personal ist freundlich.

Wunderschönes altes Haus
Unser Zimmer war sehr schön, mit drei Stufen hoch zum Bett. Ein riesiges Bett mit sehr guter Matratze, die allerdings hoch ist. Für uns kein Problem. Der Ausblick war scheußlich, aber es gibt gute Vorhänge. Es gibt keinen Aufzug. Sehr gutes Frühstück, tolle Aufenthaltsräume. Pool war leer.

Nettes zentrales Hotel
Zimmer: Wir haben lediglich eine Nacht im Hotel verbracht. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig. Im Zimmer gibt es ein Sofa, einen Kleiderschrank und einen Schreibtisch. Ablagemöglichkeiten im Zimmer sind also vorhanden. Im Zimmer gab es vom Wohnbereich zum Schlafbereich drei Stufen. Zudem war das Bett (Boxspringbett) sehr hoch. Bei eingeschränkter Beweglichkeit sollte evtl. vorab beim Hotel angefragt werden wie das Zimmer aussieht. Frühstück: Beim Frühstück gibt es KEIN Büffet. Sowohl warmes als auch kaltes Frühstück muss bestellt werden. Zwei Marmeladen und Honig stehen auf dem Tisch bereit. Cereals: Das Menü listet Cornflakes, Rice crispies und ähnliches auf. Müsli stand nicht zur Auswahl. Brot: Weißer Toast, Vollkorntoast, Croissants, Pfannkuchen Ich meine es gab Joghurt zur Auswahl. Für das warme Frühstück gab es ein Schottisches Frühstück (auch in Teilen) und ein kontinentales Frühstück (Schinken, Käse). Insgesamt haben wir das Frühstück als problematisch empfunden. Man muss bei der Bestellung sehr genau spezifizieren was man möchte. Eine Bestellung von "fried eggs" oder "pancakes" führt dazu dass man jeweils eines erhält (Pfannkuchen ca. 10cm Durchmesser). Die Atmosphäre war nicht so, dass wir anschließend nach mehr fragen wollten. Wir waren an einem Samstag beim Frühstück, evtl. ist unter der Woche eine andere Besetzung vor Ort. Die Bestellung des Frühstücks schien auch den vielen deutschen Gästen vor Ort, denen das englische Menü nicht vollständig klar war, insgesamt schwe

Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit - Zimmerausstattung lässt insofern zu wünschen übrig, als dass wir ein sehr geräumiges Bad hatten, jedoch keine Abstellmöglichkeiten. Im Zimmer waren die Vorhänge zerrissen, was sehr schade war.

The dining room for evening meals was closed, although this had no affect on our overnight stay. The full Scottish breakfast was lovely. The "sleigh" bed was very comfy. Check in and breakfast staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful.

If I had to fault anything, it would be the getting in and out of the Bath/Shower. It was quite high with a built out bath panel. Making it a high and wide to step into. Other than that we enjoyed our stay in this elegant hotel.

A fascinating and historic hotel with good parking in a quiet location yet only minutes from major shops and the centre of Elgin. The staff could not have been more helpful, the bed was huge and comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful and well cooked.

Very convenient next to Tesco Superstore and walking distance to the main town centre. Lovely large property but is aging and needs a good refurb. Stains in carpet, kettle power cable too short to reach mains have to ask for an extension. Nice accommodating staff.

A Delightful Stay
I had a fantastic stay at The Mansion House Hotel in Elgin, Scotland. The staff was great, the location was perfect for exploring the town, and the facilities were top-notch. Nice parking area in the hotel. The overall wonderful experience. Highly recommended for a memorable visit to Elgin.

When we pulled up the property looks amazing. Even the inside has great rooms. Then there was apparent and visible water damage and a musty smell in the air. A great building that just needs some TLC. Room was large and comfortable.
