Von unseren insges. 9 Unterkünften auf Island hat es uns hier am besten gefallen! Wir haben bei allen Pension /- 100€ die Nacht gezahlt und auf diesem Niveau liegt diese Bewertung. Im Hotel Eyvindará haben wir eine gemütliche Blockhütte umgeben von Bäumen bewohnt, Mitten in der Natur und doch nah genug an Egilstadir für Einkäufe oder Schwimmbad. Das Auto konnten wir bis auf wenige Meter an der Blockhütte parken. Das Hotel Eyvindará verfügt über 2 Hot Pots, die wir auch genossen haben. Der WLAN Empfang war super. Überragend war das inklusive Frühstück am nächsten Morgen. Von frischen Ananas über Croissants zu frischen Waffeln wurde alles geboten, was man sich so zum Frühstück wünschen könnte. Außerdem war die Gastwirtin sehr nett, bemüht und kinderfreundlich! bewohnt.

Das sehr freundliche Personal konnte zum Teil sogar Deutsch sprechen. Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und ruhig. Das Frühstück schmeckte fein und hatte eine grosse Auswahl.

Das Hotel bietet allen Komfort, den man knapp außerhalb von Egilsstadir erwarten kann - und noch mehr! Hot Pot mit optionalem Bademantel und Bier, meisterhafter Vortrag isländischer Folkslieder vom Betreiber Flossi, reichhaltiges Frühstück und ein Abendtisch, der auch in einer Großstadt keine Wünsche offen lassen würde.

This is such a warm and cozy family feel hotel. It has a fantastic coffee/tea/cocoa bar that is always available, the area is peaceful and beautiful. I had a walk out room -so I could just step out and see the amazing northern lights.

Despite initial skepticism, renting at this location exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed my stay, it is a bit isolated but this makes it great for anyone traveling to Iceland, especially during the Aurora months. I highly recommend this hotel for the price, the rooms will surprise you at this price.

This was our favorite hotel out of the 10 hotels we stayed in. The cabin was adorable. This was the inly hotel we slept in and hung out in the living room drinking tea. The reception was kind enough to show us yo the cabin and let us know when and where we could see the Northern Lights and we most assuredly did.

Abbiamo prenotato la baita economy ed era molto carina e spaziosa. Gli spazi erano caldi e abbiamo dormito molto bene. L'unico punto di domanda è il bagno, ampio ma con nemmeno un appiglio per asciugamani. Durante la doccia non sapevamo dove mettere le nostre cose se non per terra. Il servizio è stato cortese e abbiamo potuto usufruire delle hot tub all'esterno gratuitamente. È stata davvero un'ottima scelta!

We stay at this hotel because there was a wind storm on Iceland but the staff was very nice and help my friend with their room also. The bed was comfortable. We stay only for one night!

Verblijf van 1 nacht, heerlijk rustig geslapen, bedden lagen goed (persoonlijk natuurlijk). We waren zo gelukkig om begin september het noorderlicht te zien, wat goed zichtbaar was omdat het hotel niet midden in het stadje ligt (lichtvervuiling). We werden door het personeel naar onze kamer begeleid, iedereen was vriendelijk en benaderbaar. Ontbijt is niet in de prijs inbegrepen en kostte rond de 2000 króna (14 euro) per persoon. Badkamer was oke maar de douchecabine was een beetje krapjes (en wij zijn niet dik) en de vloerverwarming stond in de hele kamer constant aan waardoor wij wel met een raampje open moesten slapen. Fijn verblijf, zou het aanraden!

Lovely property tucked in a corner of Egilsstadir. Was snowing heavily around so did not get to enjoy much of the views around here. The owner was very friendly and gave us some tips about the area. Would definitely recommend this hotel and town as a stop if you are doing the ring road.
