Gut gelegen einfaches Appartement
Gut gelegen in der Neustadt. Sehr einfach etwas älteres Appartement. Sanitärenanlagen gewöhnungsbedürftig. Wegbeschreibung (Google Map) die man von Inhaber erhält, führt zum falschen Ort!

Treppenhaus unsauber, komplizierte Schlüsselübergabe, unklar, welche Wohnung für uns bestimmt ist - keine Hinweise, Namen oder Ähnliches, letztendlich nach 67 Stufen durch Probieren richtige Wohnung gefunden, W-LAN öfters unterbrochen Top-Lage, mitten in der Stadt, allerdings wäre Hinweis im Vorfeld auf Parksituation hilfreich gewesen.

You’re paying for the locations
We couldn’t get in touch with the owner, and hand to contact Hotels.com to be able to get information about the check in. You’re really paying for the location with this place. It’s really close to everything including the old town, the castle and Princes street garden. But the kitchens smells bad, probably the fridge. The rooms smells like mold and I’m allergic… and there was some others hair all over the bathroom. I think what bothered us the most though was that there was absolutely NO HEAT. We were freezing for 4 days (we were there in October). They did have a towel heater in the bathroom though and a little radiator we squeezed up next to. But with the badly isolated walls and windows, it didn’t help- and probably why it was moldy because of the damp.

Great flat in central Edinburgh
Great flat in a great location. The helpful link sent to me to find the location was a little confusing but was quickly sorted. The flat was up three flights of stairs which was not a problem for me but may be an issue for others. The decor of the flat was a little tired but clean and whilst I didn't use it, the flat has a nice little kitchen.

Great location, shame about service as I tried contacting serval time to confirm our booking as asked in the small print, had to contact Hotel.com for assistant. After numerous attempt to contact Tony, I still didn’t receive Checking in instructions till late morning of arrival, so we felt unprepared for our stay.

Indkvartering lidt "spændende". Der er ikke personlig betjening. Der skal komme en kode til en nøgleboks pr. mail (Hotels.com?) Den kom ca. 10 min. før mulig indkvarteing - det kræver så adgang og check af mail! Telefonopkald til ejer blev besvaret noget uhøfligt - men han sendte dog efter nogen frem og tilbage snak en SMS med kodelåsen. Lys på den mørke opgang - kunne det tændes? Der mangler instrukser på, hvordan TV aktiveres (source, kanaler) Der mangler brugbare instrukser på, hvordan WI aktiveres Det forventes at man selv tager sengelinned af, støvsuger og fjerner affald Når det er sagt, må man sige at det var et udmærket - lidt alternativ - ophold og billigt i forhold til den centrale beliggenhed.

Excellent location at excellent price.
Perfect location. We booked to stay in town after a night out with friends in Edinburgh and it ticked all the boxes for us. I am not good with finding things, and had a bit of trouble finding the entrance but the contact phone number was answered quickly when I called and then I found it no problem. You have to walk up the three floors. It is not 5 star but the bathroom and kitchen are clean and well equipped and everything worked; we were very happy with our stay.

Please HESITATE to contact!!!
Worst people to try and contact! Incredibly rude on the phone when you do get a hold of them, they yell at you! They even yelled at the poor Expedia guy! The hallways smelled like a dirty bathroom and the room was at the top of a tower Quasimodo would have been exhausted climbing! It was so bad we left after two days. The place was dusty and not very clean but states on a big banner that you have to ensure the place is hospital clean or they will charge you because they have your credit card! Such a scam, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

We give all our customers info and video how to get to the apartment it so so so easy to get to the apartment we get people all over the world coming to stay some of them can not speak English put they all get to the apartment with the email I send to them The apartment is at the top to get good views of the edinburgh castle They stayed the hole time We put the banner up house rules

Up five flights of concrete steps with no hand rai
It was very unexpected. It was not a hotel; just a nice apartment at the top of a small building off an alley in Edinborough. It was up 5 flights on concrete steps and we had no idea from the blurb. The apartment itself was nice enough with slanted ceilings but it had a complete kitchen with washer/dryer. Husband is 75 and had a hip replaced so it was so hard for him. We would never have taken it had we known the physical exertion it would make on us.

The apartment was fine the bed was however very uncomfortable and had a second mattress on top of the original that was smaller the result was we had a gap at the top of the bed and our pillows kept falling down there was also a gap on the sides

Está bien por el precio que pagué (creo que era una oferta), si fuera mas caro quizás no lo habria reservado. La limpieza y el sitio estaba correcto pero la mala organización del personal y la falta de ayuda fueron un problema grave que me dejaron en la calle 4 horas. Por suerte al final volví a probar y contestaron el teléfono, pero no entiendo como un sábado por la tarde no hay nadie que pueda ayudar al cliente que ha pagado el apartamento ésa noche y asegurarse de que todo está bien. Estuve a punto de pagar otra habitación y reclamar el dinero de esta... Falta organización y seriedad, pero el apartamento en sí está muy bien por el precio que pagué-

This apartment is not cleaned in most aspects.
This needs to be taken off of Expedia web site. Carpets weren't vacuumed. Toilet had not been cleaned and I had to clean. Bed sheets quilt cover did not appear to have been cleaned or replaced. I've contacted hotel staff and answer was they were replaced. Surfaces including table top and kitchen top had bred crimps from previous use. Bed mattresses were terrible. No lift had to carry all languages to 4th level, narrow steps. Didn't feel safe at all. In case of a fire there was no way out!! Would not recommend anyone to spend overnight.

Dopo un primo spavento (non sembra per niente un albergo da fuori) vedendo l'ingresso e la scalinata, devo dire che siamo stati piacevolmente sorpresi quando abbiamo aperto la porta dell'appartamento, pulito, spazioso, luminoso e confortevole. Il personale è inesistente... non si vede proprio nessuno, ma tenendosi alle istruzioni per recuperare le chiavi, tutto funziona bene. Ci ritornerei !

Disappointed that 48 hours before our stay we were told earlier check in was £50 & to leave cases £25. Deco was tired. Rooms clean but could be better. Windows rattled when traffic passed. Bed was dreadful.

Disappointing, dirty and depressing.
Awful place to stay, bed uncomfortable and broken held up with a bucket and books, fold up beds have mattresses 3" thick no sleep on them... Room on top floor no hand rails from the second floor to top 5 fights of steps, no fire escape... Doorway outside used for urinal, key access is a 4 digit lock safe... Easily worked out if you have half an hour. Room filthy dusty and uncomfortable, dust everywhere and threatening posters all over. Wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here.. I sent an email complaint within an hour of arrival and 3 weeks later no reply.

Great location but the advert is one big lie!
Stayed here for a long weekend break, it says in the advert there is a tv with all cable channels, there is no box for cable so this is a LIE. Secondly it says there is free on site parking, Another LIE (ended up coasting us £15 - £20 a day) It also states there is a seperate bedroom, yep you guessed it! Another LIE! The rooms need a good clean. Good location but don't believe 75% of the advert and you'll be fine!

Wish I had booked a travel lodge
Shower only had intermittent hot water - scalding one minute - freezing the next. 62 steps up to the apartment- no hand rail - spiral staircase (have pictures). 4th floor no details of escape in case of fire. People urinate in doorway - stank as you entered the building. New Years Eve six men pi**ing in door way imitated us trying to get into the building. Kebab left inside door - not cleared up, Bed folds back into cupboard. TV not working when we got there. Wifi code and network did not match. I have bad knees and did not expect to have to climb 62 steps every time I entered the flat. Hot water tap in kitchen not working. Signs everywhere saying would be charged extra if apartment left dirty but only dirty j cloths left to clean. Towels need replacing. Smoke alarm beeping.

Hi I cant understand why you have not accepted my review. Could you please tell me the reason why as I do not understand your reasons. FRANCES. Can you please tell me why you keep referring to this flat to let as an hotel. In an hotel you get bedding and towels provided daily, cleaned every day. This flat has notices all over flat stating that this is a self service flat and you have to do the cleaning. If you dont it says i have your bank details to pay for this. it is very intimadating. have you been inside this flat.

Great location. Disappointing place to stay.
The booking was apparently lost and we had to chase to find a way to check in. Maybe that partly explains the fact that nothing was clean when we arrived. It was cheap but had 'warning' signs in about 5 different places - if you don't clean it you get charged £50. The place has real potential and the location is fabulous but communication with the owner and warning signs were monosyllabic and very non-customer service-ish. Pull-down bed, not 5 sleeper as we booked but only 3, no welcome drink as advertised, no free toiletries as advertised. And no explanation. When I complained that I didn't want to be charged for cleaning, I got a 1-liner back saying the cleaners would be there in an hour, they were running late. Then when I said I didn't understand, a text saying sorry I emailing the wrong customer. No proper explanation or apology. And all this following my initial wish to find out about checking in early - which is apparently another £50.

Not a five star appartment!
This appartment is advertised as a five star? It is located on top floor in a relative tall building with no elevator and steep stairs. In other words not suited for elder/handicapped people. The appartment lacked both toiletpaper and other bathroom articles like soap and shampoo, we had to go out and buy ourselves. No reception, if you need to speak to staff you have to phone them but they seldom answer the call. Low waterpressure in shower, and appartment didn`t feel very clean in general. Seemed like guests are supposed to clean appartment themselves after their stay according to warning-signs hanging on the walls. Five star appartment? Positive is A: good/central location in nice Rose Street. B: Appartment is relative large sized compared to average hotelroom. If you do choose to stay at this place, remember to call staff before your trip so they can tell you where to find the key to the appartment when you arrive (no reception at the place). If you are lucky someone answers your call if you are lucky enough to have their right phone number..

日租型的公寓, 沒人會接待你, 需自行取鑰匙. 取鑰匙的密碼與方式在抵達前兩天才會寄到你的e-mail信箱, 若沒檢查電子信箱很容易會不知道要如何取鑰匙或找誰拿. 房間就是一個小公寓, 設備是蠻齊全的, 但WiFi不通, 無法連出去. 床鋪是掀床, 已故障會塌陷. 離王子街不遠, 但公寓樓下入口處會有人亂丟垃圾, 有垃圾的臭味. 若是學生背包客想省錢可以考慮入住.

The apartment was in a hidden corner on the main street, which we missed repeatedly as the number sign was unclear. Instructions were sent to us to access the apartment keys, but no mention was made that the apartment was on the top floor! That made us try the keys on every single apartment to know if it fit! It was difficult to open the main door using the keys - we tried several times. There is no elevator and we had to carry our heavy luggage up 7 to 8 fleets of stairs. This should be made clear on the booking website. The apartment size was decent, but there was too much unnecessary furniture, and we had to shift the heavy sofas away for the extra bed, which you had to make on your own. Bathroom and kitchen was of a decent size and we could use the washing machine, water kettle and stove. However, the water kettle was leaky, and we had to clean up the leak each time we boiled water. The double bed was not visible when we got into the apartment and we had to pull it down from the wall. The water pressure in the shower was low, hard to take a shower. Wifi was not working and we tapped onto another open wifi network. They charge an extra £25 pounds if you want to leave your luggage and extra £50 if you want an earlier check-in time. Check-in time is 4pm, store your luggage at the bus station for £5 to £8 if you are arriving early. Check out time is 11am.

though it's near the main street, it's difficult to find the entrance & the entrance is nasty. the room is tidy in general. it's ok for the comparative cheap room rate.

Average Apartment but Terrible Overall Experience
This was an OK apartment that would be good for students and hen/stag parties but not really anyone else and the attitude of the owners ruined our stay. The apartment was fairly clean and tidy and in a very central location. But there are some things you should be aware of (which are not clear in the property description): 1. There is no bedroom - this is a bedsit, with a foldaway bed in the living room. 2. There is no free parking (no surprise in central Edinburgh) but it stated that there was free parking on my booking yet I had to pay for parking at £3.20 per hour. 3. The apartment is at the top of a poorly lit, fairly dingy, communal stairway. 4. The heating is substandard – there was only one old storage heater and we were very cold during our stay (it was January). 5. No premium cable TV (as advertised) - just a cheap Freeview box connected to a tiny, old TV 6. No bar/lounge (as advertised) - just a book with pictures of various drinks All in all, it was OK - other than the heating - but it is uncomfortable to be cold so we spoke to the owner Tony Asga and we all agreed that we would leave one day early and he would refund our second night. So we left after one night and were happy to pay for that night - however, he did not keep his side of the bargain and has refused a refund of our second night. I hate dealing with dishonest people and I hope no-one else has to... please beware ..
