An sich ein sehr schönes Hotel, man sollte beachten, dass es keinen Aufzug und keine Fenster in dem Sinne gibt. Das Bett ist sehr bequem und der Service toll, Preise der Minibar sind angemessen. Was etwas gestört hat war der permanent starke Duft der Duftstäbchen, wenn man davon Kopfschmerzen bekommt sollte man sie vielleicht raus stellen.

Es lohnt sich!
Das House of Gods hat die beste Lage. Die Royal Mile und der Grassmarket sind in nur wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Außerdem sind die Zimmer wunderschön eingerichtet und sehr komfortabel. Das Personal ist super freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Alle geben sich Mühe und man merkt, dass ihnen ihr Job Spaß macht. Es gibt sehr leckeres Frühstück (kein 0815-kontinental, sondern eher wie in einem Café), das zwar nicht im Preis inbegriffen ist, aber preislich voll ok. Was ich nur empfehlen kann: einen Cocktail in der Bar probieren oder das hauseigene Bier. Immer wieder gerne!

Perfect weekend
The most amazing service we have ever received! Staff are amazing and go the extra mile for you, entertainment was fantastic, the decor and drinks were stunning and the breakfast hamper was delicious! Highly recommend upgrading to the treat me like I’m famous package. Not only was it mine and my partners joint birthday weekend, he also proposed! Thanks for making this the most special celebration ever! I can’t wait to come back for our anniversaries every year! This hotel have thought of everything down to the last detail, very special place to stay!

The Hotel was clean but I was very disappointed with the size of the room. It was VERY small and felt very claustrophobic due to the dark decor and the small size of the room and the FAKE WINDOW! there was hardly any room to put our bags down on the floor. I feel like the price was expensive in comparison to the spacious rooms I am used to for that price.

Rommet var skikkelig kult, og hun som tok oss i mot var kjempehyggelig, men der slutter det positive. Det var ikke vindu på vårt rom, som resulterte i at det var veldig varmt og dårlig luft. Det var en aircondition (?) som sto midt i rommet, men selv med denne på full guffe var det veldig varmt. I tillegg var det veldig lite så vi hadde så vidt gåplass når vi la ned kofferten. Heldigvis hadde vi bare en koffert, for det hadde ikke vært plass til to. Rommet ble ikke vasket mens vi var der, når vaskepersonellet først kom var det lørdag ettermiddag og vi hadde kommet tilbake for å slappe av på rommet, så da takket vi nei. Det var heller ingen knagger på badet til å henge håndhåndkleet i. Vi prøvde også baren, men ingen av drinkene vi fikk falt i smak...

Room was as in pic except for the tropical temp!
Room was beautiful it was so hot we couldn’t sleep all night. Sunday morning checkout was very early at 11am, contacted the reception next morning to say that the room was unbearably hot and could we have an extension on the check out and were told he’d but it would cost £30. Very disappointing as the concept of the hotel room is unique in Edinburgh but room is very small and temperature control made it unbearable.

Beautiful room and felt incredibly luxurious. Staff were super friendly and helpful which was lovely. Cocktails and breakfast were also top notch. The VIP package was epic and well worth it.

The hotel staff were nice, but the overall experience was not the best. In actual fact, we were left a little bit disappointed. The room was not ready when we arrived and so we ended up leaving our bags in the room for hotel staff to make it up for us. Came back to our hotel around 6pm after having walked around for a few hours and it still was not made up for us. We then had to tell staff to delay making up the room as we wanted to freshen up before going out for dinner. There was only one towel in our room at this point which we ended up sharing. Once we got back and the room was made up with the extra towel as we requested, we began to notice a few flaws. The fridge was not working. The drinks inside were warm and no light was on. I mentioned this to staff at reception on our way back to our room the following day and shortly after, without anyone even coming to look at the fridge, I received a response via WhatsApp to say, no don’t worry it is working! ... it definitely was not. After searching ourselves, we found the switch underneath the fridge to turn it on. The fact that nobody even came to look and told no it is working, when it clearly was not, was disappointing to say the least. However, to try and find light in this situation, staff did kindly offer to store our drinks in the fridge downstairs. To which we were grateful. We also noticed that the tap in the bathroom was EXTREMELY wobbly and was not at all secure! And in room coffee was not restocked

Very nice, but a little too warm for me
Room is really quirky and well decorated, the room is a little on the small side, however as I had read the description before hand I was expecting it so it wasn’t an issue. The biggest issue I had with my stay was the temperature of the room, there are no windows or air conditioning, it meant the room was very hot even in December, so I didn’t have the most comfortable nights sleep. I’m not sure there is any way to get the room to be cooler short of keeping your actual hotel room door open, so if this would bother you I wouldn’t recommend it, however if that isn’t an issue for you then I would recommend it. Customer service was top drawer as well, the two times I requested something it was brought up to my room immediately. One of those occasions was for a fan to try and cool the room, although it unfortunately made no difference. Hotel location is also excellent, right in the centre and only a short walk from all the main central attractions.

it was very well located with friendly staff. On arrival we asked for recommendation of cool bars in the area and Annie who was on the reception at the time was very excited and asked exactly what we were looking for! she called up to our room as she was finishing up and dropped in a list of bars shed complied for us. it was a lovely touch and great recommendations. the roomed everything we were looking for but tidy! ideal for a short trip.

The staff was polite and courteous however the room (101) was extremely cold when I asked about the heating I was told she would fix it and 5 min later she was back with a little heater for the room ! the door to the room did not close correctly and need a good hard push to make it secure. The term there’s not enough room to swing a cat really is true as it’s extremely cramped for 2 people. It was very dusty and the towels we used on the first night were folded and put back on the shelf instead of fresh towels. 4/10

Great looking hotel very hipster if that’s a good thing But failed on breakfast not starting until 8am what time do they think people have to get up to go to work The rooms were small and looked very stylish but come on I expect breakfast from 630am not 8am I start work at 8am and have to get there

The hotel is absolutely lovely. It’s unusual and a real change from the normal boring beige hotel room while still being classy and elegant. The hotel smelled amazing, was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Only one tiny improvement would be to add milk somehow to the tea and coffee in the room.

Staff was excellent. The room, despite being the largest one they offer, was extremely small, had no windows, and didn’t have a working thermostat or way to close the bathroom door. It was pretty much like sleeping in an old caravan. I was told by the front desk that you had to switch the heat on or use the tile floor heater to warm up the room. If you kept it on it got very warm, if you turned it off it got very cold. Made for a horrible night of sleep

Tiny. Tiny. TINY room
Smallest room in the world. Looks awesome but not practical especially for 2 people with luggage. No lift. If you check in late you have to go through a small crowded bar with your luggage to a hatch and check in. Staff are very friendly. But couldn't wait to check out and move to a place where i could have the room to open my suitcase actually have a bathroom with a lockable door and room to put toiletries. Wont go back.
