I have an ongoing complaint with this property and no one seems to be responding. We checked into our "small double room" still expecting to be able to move, you cannot have two people walking at any given time. A relative was utilising another room and slipped in the bathroom due to the small drop by the toilet to the shower (tiny space) and my partner is currently 17 weeks pregnant and this could have happened to her and we could have had a different scenario on our hands. Once spoken to the reception staff who were increasingly rude, they said they haven't had this situation before so it isn't something they are "used too" - no apology or resolution, he just said if you don't like the room you can leave and get a full refund. Whilst this was happening you could hear the "details" of what was going on next door, to which we didn't expect to hear at 16:00pm. I was advised to email and my refund would be granted however this is not the case and the business are looking to keep hold of the funds even though the room wasn't even used. If a refund isn't granted, I will be proceeding to follow this up with a full complaint, or even a small claims court case. Under the Consumer Act 2015 - that it us part of that contract that the hotel provides its services with "reasonable" care and skill. If they do not carry out their part of the deal you're entitled to receive compensation or money off for THEIR failure.
