„The place was good and the on site staff were helpful but the overall experience from Hotels.com was terrible and made the whole trip unpleasant. I booked through travel site and found communication was not easy. I have a feeling the owners are new to letting their appartments so hopefully teething issues. „Sheets had big stain on , floor was in need of a vacuum, hairs in bathroom, furniture had rips in, stains on carpet, car parking space was tiny, we were kept awake on both night by noise and partying in other apartments. The shower was barely warm and went cold after one person had showered. Wouldn't stay again, over priced and begrudge paying a cleaning charge when it's not clean.“

„Check in was very easy with clear instructions. The flat iself is a well done update of a very cool historical structure. The flats location is ideal. There is a grocery store just down the street and getting into York is a short walk across the bridge and you're there. Everything is within walking distance. The Minster, Museums, markets and the shambles, all close. We highly recommend the Micklegate flat.“

An easy 3 minute walk to Yorkminster, a Sainsbury's out front and The Bootham Tavern pub across the street. The pictures included in the listing are 100% accurate. "Horrific! Never Again - Filthy, Run-Down and Rude Staff We booked this hotel for a very special occasion - a wedding - and it turned out to be the biggest mistake of our trip. The moment we walked into the room, we were hit with a musty, dusty smell that made it hard to breathe. The bathroom was filthy, with visible rust and mold. The radiators were covered in thick layers of dust and grime, the furniture was damaged and stained, cobwebs were hanging from the windows, the door frames were chipped and discolored, and the carpets looked like they hadn't been properly cleaned in years. The absolute worst: the bed and pillows were so dusty and dirty that staying in the room for more than a few minutes felt suffocating. For hygiene and health reasons, we had to leave immediately and find another place to stay. And it wasn't just the room - the reception was a disaster too. The staff were rude, dismissive, and outright lied to us. An Expedia representative had confirmed to us over the phone that he spoke directly with the reception. Yet, when we confronted them, they flat-out denied any conversation had taken place. I have never experienced anything like this in all my travels. This hotel is an absolute disgrace in every sense. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone - especially if you care about cleanliness, honesty, or basic hospitality. Bottom line: Avoid at all costs! You'd be better off sleeping on a park bench than in this nightmare of a hotel."
